Have you ever heard Nirvana's "Bleach" album.  I only mention it because of the half-dozen or so Nirvana fans that I know locally (here is the Pacific NW where the band was from), most seem to prefer it slightly over Nevermind.  It is a bit rawer (and more tongue-in-cheek lyrically), than much of their later albums.  Worth looking into if you have never heard it.

Bleach is a great album, but didn't have the impact on me that Nevermind had. somehow i never got into In Utero. Probably because is was deep into christian-music only at that time. I should give In Utero a listen...

I'll see if i can get a top50 online. I doubt if there's much metal in it.
