Your 50 favorite albums

So I was reading an article about Kurt Cobain's 50 favorite albums. Interesting read (to me, I'm sure most of you aren't Nirvana fans... )

Anyway, I thought it would be fun for us to do our 50 favorites. I'm working on my list now but if you have yours done, feel free to post and we can discuss the lists.

Christian only or mixed with secular?

I'm not a massive Nirvana fan, but I am a big fan of most of the music coming out of Seattle at the same time as Nirvana.  I would be interested in seeing the article, do you have a link?

I ran a thread about our 10 favourites, and Dynamis of Angelic Warlord listed his top 50, but I'll be a while on my 50.

I would have a hard enough time making my favorite list of 20.  My favorites change depending on the mood that I'm in right then.

I'll try and make a stab at it.  Not sure I'll get 50 though.

Making a top  .. at the end of the year is giving me enough problems.
My favorite top 50 is changing almost every day.

Okay well... since several of you guys have complained in some way, nevermind. I understand that favorites change often and it may be a challenge to come up with 50 (or to choose only 50)...

Hey don't give up so soon, I'm working on my list but I have nearly 1000 albums to weigh first.

It's not a bad idea, just very hard to come up with quickly for most. I certainly have no idea (or the time now).

It was tough for me to decide which Jorn Album..I love them all and his cover album (unlocking the Past) is fantastic...

Jorn did a great cover of the Kiss song 'Naked City'. I used to play it on my all Kiss show.

Most of my stuff is going to be secular even though secular music is less than half of my collection.  The reason is because I usually have to live with an album for several years before it becomes a "favorite" and I've only been listening to Christian artists for the last 9-10 years. Have you ever heard Nirvana's "Bleach" album.  I only mention it because of the half-dozen or so Nirvana fans that I know locally (here is the Pacific NW where the band was from), most seem to prefer it slightly over Nevermind.  It is a bit rawer (and more tongue-in-cheek lyrically), than much of their later albums.  Worth looking into if you have never heard it.

I've heard songs here and there but have never got around to picking up a copy. It's in my Amazon wishlist...
