Random Ramblings

Being a human being is so awkward. It feels like most people are putting on a show most of the time... Another strange thing is that I sometimes feel like I'm not apart of my body. Life feels so surreal at times...

I may end up drinking in moderation, although I don't particularly intend to. I recently had a conversation with a Quebecer and an American about drinking, and it's interesting how some Americans will practically demonize alcohol, while in Québec, it's seen as relatively normal, much like in France.

Many times alcohol is talked about as if everyone who drinks it likes to be foolish or get drunk all the time. That's not always true though...

I hate watching people think with their emotions..that always leads to destruction!

Yeah, sometimes people are ruled by their own emotions or desires. Emotions are useful and are wonderful things at times, but shouldn't be our final authority. If that made any sense.

Took both of my sons out shopping for clothes today (shoes, shirts, pants...etc)  After being in the store for only about an hour this was my oldest boy's reaction (he is 17).  I am almost certain he is texting his girlfriend.

Wow. In front of everyone? Did he notice you taking a picture of him?

 No he didn't notice.  But later on when he get's on facebook he will see it.  I posted him there and tagged him in it so all his friends would see.  But he has no shame and it will probably just make him the "celebrity of the week" at school on Monday.

That IS funny !  I often wonder what it would have been like to have had cell phones and computers when we were teens.... probably disastrous

Wow. Imagine how advanced things would be now if you guys had what is currently the norm.

Man, this is crazy...I have been calling around to find us a new tax expert and here in Tulsa the fee's people are quoting me is at least 300% to 500% more than what we paid our cpa expert in Texas...outrageous

Over 800 miles in 2 days?  All for what?  Just to find some tupperware in the woods using billion dollar government satellites.

Everyone gets on the bus out of town and the lights start going out one by one.

The weather outside is amazing. The snow is melting. The birds are coming back. It's not freezing cold out. The sun is out. The temperature is perfect for going on a walk.

Equally possible that civilization as we know it would have collapsed and we'd be back living in caves.
