I like Squint and give it a play now and again. It's classic Steve Taylor but more rockier than his 80's stuff.

What!? - Wikipedia wrote:
- "Aiming 4 Heaven" launched Derringer's gospel rock career, with wife Jenda, their eight-year-old son, Marn and nine-year-old daughter, Loving. The Derringers We Live CD was released in fall of 2008.
Derringer guested on the Tom Guerra project Mambo Sons (1999) and Damon Fowler's Riverview Drive (2000). He also appears on the Les Paul album American Made World Played (2005), on the track "Good Morning, Little Schoolgirl". Derringer strongly proclaimed his Christianity during this period. The old lyric of "Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo" was rewritten into "Read the Word Live It Too" and his new life was breathed into "Still Alive And Well". Both lyrics were written by Rick's co-writer wife, Jenda Derringer. I didn't know that. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

Nice! I really like that one a lot. I may actually visit with them when I'm in Slovakia this October. They're in the same city that I'll be going to.

| Not so excited about the rap, but I can tolerate it if it doesn't dominate too much of the music. Thanks for the heads up. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

FWIW, while I still like For the Love of the Game better, One Love Revolution is really good. There's less rap than I originally thought (the first song has it for sure, which is a bit of a turn off as it's the first track you hear), the drum work is exceptional, and there's some very interesting guitar work. There's also some well-placed "screamo" vocals; not the "metal core" type a-la Demon Hunter and War of Ages, but more in the background as a counter to the melody. I've never been much of a rock/rap (or is it rap/rock) fan, but Pillar and TFK do it quite well, especially on later releases that have less rap and more rock. I've also had the pleasure of seeing both of these bands in concert, and their live performances are excellent!
