Random Ramblings

Driving WAS great when I was younger.  Now, I've done so much of it that I wish I were a rich man so I could afford a chauffer.

Yeah, I remember when I used to love to just go driving around.  Now I just want to get there and get back.  Man, I've turned into my grandfather.

A day full of memories for me.
It's two years ago God brought my mom home.
I miss my mom.

I passed.  (It was really easy.) It was just to get my permit so it was just a short multiple choice test. For my license I have to do a road test. That won't be until later when I have more driving experience.

It feels so weird to drive. I got to see how it feels accelerating, and steering a bit today. I'll get used to it eventually I guess.

Soon it will be 2nd nature.

I remember that.  I am sure you miss her very much.  I hope that she is looking down on you from heaven with joy.

My grandfather loved to go on drives.  He would take us out into some remote places and always ask us the same question, "Do you know where you are?".

When we looked stupified, he would answer with, "Right here, dammit!"

Hey, it is what he always said.  You would have to had known the old man.  Pop was quite the mischievous person.  You might even call him a curmugeon.

Oh, I forgot to add that I mostly can't stand to go on just a drive for no purpose.  Now, if I am geocaching, I can ramble the back roads literally all day long.  But, that still gives me a reason to be out there and to see sights I normally wouldn't have.  Without geocaching, I would not be taking long drives out in the middle of nowhere.

Agreed. I do not understand people who like to just "drive" for driving's sake. To me it's a necessary evil to get from point A to B.
Besides, with my disc herniation in my neck, I can only drive for a couple miles before my hands go to sleep and get pain twinges down my arms... so yeh, I hate driving.

Ah I love driving...  It's so nice.  Sometimes I'll just go for drives up the coast through some back-roads and such.

I was able to get a little more practice today. Wind shield wipers don't bug me, which is good.

Sooooo tired today.

Me too… had an intense weekend of ministry in Montréal with the Bible school. We left Friday afternoon and got back this (Monday) morning. We visited a youth group, a church, and a Christian school, and we toured a bit of the inner city.

I wonder how it is to have and raise a puppy.

Yes, raising a puppy does take patience but it is soooooo worth it.  I love my fur-babies
