| A few of us listen to a lot of secular music too. Actually, I listen to bands like Rush and Jethro Tull more often than I listen to Christian bands. A lot of it has to do with production quality (very few good Christian bands got equally good recording), and some of it has to do with creativity. I will acknowledge that there aren't that many Christian bands who do stuff that's out of the ordinary, Barnabas being a notable exception. That said, our board is here to discuss Christian music. That's not to say we're all Christian-only (some are, some aren't, and we don't condemn each other over differences of opinion), but the focus of our board is specifically Christian rock and metal. I see you've seen that there is one secular music thread, but we rarely talk about secular music here. If you want to talk about secular music at length, I'd suggest you find a board better suited to it. By the way, only some of us are thrash fans - I, for one, rarely listen to thrash, and only when I'm in the mood for it. It's just a matter of personal taste, I guess. | |

- BTW You talk about "Christian Music". Well does music has "faith" itself ? has the music you listen to "accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour" ? so is it there something such as "Christian Music" ?
BTW In my views , a Christian is someone who is "Christ-like" , not someone who believes Jesus rose on the third day in a bodily ressurrection. So with this definition, a buddhist can be more of a "Christian" than your average Bible Belt evangelical. I follow the spirita religion. the teachings of Jesus are there and I have a personal belief that Jesus was a god that incarnated on earth with a special mission. his message is wonderful. You will find your views on Christianity are probably not similar to most of those here at CHM. While all are welcome here we do have some rules (see the link below). If you found yourself banned from the CMR and Heart of Metal boards then you will want to watch what you say here as well (we have no problems banning). http://www.christianhardmusic.com/t4589-terms-of-service-or-the-rules _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Our daughter is due in 5 weeks, and I don't think I am ready :p I might have asked this before, but is this your first? My wife was almost 2 weeks late with our first child (and it still surprised). My daughter is also pregnant right now, but she isn't due until the second week of November (she has only recently started to show). Do you have a name picked out yet for her? _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."
