Maybe a new Barren Cross album? We have to wait if this really is going to happen.
What are your favorite Barren Cross albums?
The only Barren Cross album I have is "Hotter Than Hell". What is/are good other CD(s) from Barren Cross?

I love Rattle Your Cage too, that is possibly my favourite, either that of Atomic Arena.
Still, let's face it, they're all consistently good.

My favorite is State of Control! (but I agree with Fundy they don't have a bad album) Very much looking forward to a new release from Barren Cross. I just hope it happens this time. Two years ago they promised new music when they replaced Micheal with another singer. Now Michael is back and they are promising new music again! Come on guys make it happen.

Where would one start with Barren Cross? I've heard the live album but never any of their studio stuff.

I would start with either Atomic Arena or State of Control. I would save Rattle Your Cage until after you have heard both of those just because it is a little different. I also wouldn't bother with "Rock For The King" until after you have listened to Atomic Arena & State of Control.

Why? Cause Rock for the King is impossible to find?
After I posted that, I went to Amazon and priced their cd's used. I can get all but RFTK for a reasonable amount (once I can afford it) but that one was about $40...

Yes good point, aslo RFTK shows a less musically mature band. The song-writing and production on RFTK isn't quite as good as it is on the rest of the band's catalog IMO.

Yes start with Atomic Arena and State Of Control....THEN get Rock For The King..THEN Rattle You Cage
While Atomic Arena and State Of Control are technically better, Rock For The King is actually my favorite.
Dying Day and It's All Come True are classics and the song Rock For The King is a true anthem.

I saw Barren Cross twice back in the 80's (around 86-88).
Once with Messiah Prophet and once with Whitecross.
Love them.

Thank you so much bought4life for posting all those songs of Barren Cross. I'm listening to all the songs you've posted.
Listening to all the Barren Cross songs made it clear. My collection needs some more Barren Cross CDs. Great stuff.
My problem for ow will be do I order all the CDs or start with one.

You are definitely welcome rockerVu2. .. I am glad you are hooked.
As for the extremely rare Rock For The King, just keep your eyes on eBay and you will be able to get one at a fair price eventually.
There are two versions of it....the original Star Song version with them in blue spandex, then the remastered version with live bonus tracks.
There are also 2 versions of State Of Control...but only 1 song is different on each.
