I kinda dig the blend of pop/techno keys and metal guitars. Something a little different than their last two English albums. I'm digging the new singer as well.
A few people are bagging on the video for being too cheesy, but I thought it was kind of fun and playful...I don't think it was meant to be all that serious.

I can't see the video for some reason. Got a link?

I got the video to play on my laptop. Weird, huh? Anyway, I like the new song. The only thing that I really hear that I did not like is that the band NEEDS some guitar solos. If that song had a killer solo, I'd love it. At least they sound different from most other Christian metal or modern rock bands.

I like the new musical direction- metal guitars mixed with a heavy Euro-techno keyboard influence. It reminds me somewhat of the first Fearful Symmetry album, "This Sad Veil Of Tears" (which I enjoy a great deal, BTW).
The video is a bit silly, but I do not think the group intended it to be all that serious in the first place.

One thing I forgot to point out is that the new vocalist used to be in a Christian Euro-pop-dance band called G-Powered. So my thinking is that perhaps HB is altering their musical direction to better fit with the style of the new vocalist.
Also, here is a link to a video of a G-Powered song called "I Belong To You": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJ1vZDiauOQ

The Finnish version is better in that the guitars are more prominent. But, I think that overall that they will reach a wider audience with what they currently have. The big improvement that I hear is that it is now in English. I wouldn't buy it in Finnish. I do wish they'd bring back some solos for the USA, but most of the modern rock bands out there don't have them. I am guessing that HB are leaving those out of the English versions because of what sells in the USA.

The Evil Song is the English version of Perkeleitä from their 2010 album ‘Pääkallonpaikka’.
What do you think of the comparison/changes they made?
I'm glad you posted that. After hearing several people on f.b. and the CMR complain about the original being so much better, I was (quite frankly) expecting to hear a vast difference between the versions. The only major difference I heard was the keys are more dominate in the new version and the guitars are less dominate.....and now I can understand the lyrics. The original still has an almost techno/electronica vibe to it.
