As a lover of a lot of bands from the Great White North, I thought I'd start a thread dedicated to info on bands originating from Canada. (My Canadian brothers can help out with this thread)
Thought this was interesting:
Ken Scott – The Archivist for old Christian music, writes:
RE: the band "Nobody’s Children" (1981 Canada) "Man, was I excited when I found out Skip Prokop had become a Christian, having enjoyed his musical creations since the late ‘60s with The Paupers and then Lighthouse. Living relatively close to their Canadian homeland, I saw both pretty often. This guy could really drum and sing. The rest of the guys were involved with Simeon, one of Canada’s first Christian bands. This band represented World Vision of Canada, a world hunger organization, and the songs speak to that issue and a relationship with Jesus. Completely believable, engaging music featuring Prokop’s unique vocals on 10 excellent pop songs. Some interesting effects and guitar on the title track, but no real jams or horn workouts like with Lighthouse; just very genuine, solid stuff. (Bob Felberg)

Well, that might be because I didn't know they were a Canadian band. But I certainly know now.

I'd love to hear new music from ANY of these bands.
Other Canadian artists would be Angelica and Thousand Foot Krutch.

Yep.
I think Hello Kelly is Christian-friendly, and it's based in Nashville and Toronto. The bands Strait Shooters and Nothing Sacred are local bands with a good message too.
Other than that, the good ones have been mentioned. Especially Daniel Band.

TFK started out as Canadian, but they have since relocated to Nashville where most of the Christian music industry is based. Well, at least the lead singer who is the main member of TFK has.

I just remembered the francophone worship artist Luc Dumont, from the province of Québec. I got the album Suivre for $2 in a local pawn shop.

There was a praise and worship band from Canada too. But I can't remember the name. When I'm right it started with a S.

Oh yeah, and the worship band Nine O Five is from Toronto. It actually has Josh and Stephanie McCabe (Dan's children) in it.
