Hey dudes. Most of you have heard of Bill Menchen, who offers a platter of straightforward classic metal. Less people have heard of Bill's cousin Bruce Menchen, who presents a (generally) melodic style that is a mix of worship, hard rock, and even some metal.
Bruce Menchen has a new CD coming, of his band "DTS" (Dead To Sin) and it is 16 tracks of melodic rock/metal! Starring Bruce Menchen on vocals, guitar, and bass; Bill Menchen on guest guitar; and Robert Sweet on drums! Check out his sampler video here.

At one time, Bill & Bruce were doing Rev Seven together. I have the original releases of the first 2 Rev Seven projects. They sounded just like Ozzy during the Jake E. Lee years. Bruce, from what I understand, did most of the leads back then.

Hmmm sounds promising....I would like to hear some full songs though. I have a sneaking suspicion that Bruce's vocals might grate on me after a while.

This is one of the more mellow tracks of DTS:

Thanks DBF, I really dig that song. It has a real classic rock vibe to it. Kind of reminds me a little of Styx.

This one's got a real Stryper feel and reminds me of "Love Is Why"

This sound interesting. I have been a Rev Seven fan.

Anyone know who is releasing this? I was talking to Matt from Retroactive. He doesn't seem to think that they will be carrying this when it's done. Maybe he will change his mind if enough of us ask him to.

I have a feeling that Bruce is doing this on his own label, Menchen Records. At the end of his video "Save Me" it says as much. Mind you, the "Save Me" video will be released as Bruce Menchen and not DTS.

Who's releasing this CD is not the problem as long someone will release this CD and when. I hope soon.

In fact, I personally feel that it actually matters who releases the CD, simply for distribution and marketing. That's just me though.

I'm with RockerVu2, I could care less who releases the music, as long as it is readily available. (but availability could be an issue if he is planning to release it independently).

I guess this album is not released and it will be cool when we know how you can order this album of Bruce Menchen.

Some more news… I just found the Myspace (who uses that anymore?) page for DTS: http://www.myspace.com/deadtoosin
There are 4 songs online.
As well, a couple of old videos:

It could be months still before this sees the light of day.
