| Guilty/Forgiven talking about his meeting Linda Blair (remember the little girl who projectile vomited in the movie The Exorcist?) made me think of something interesting (well somewhat interesting).
Have you ever met any celebrities? Musicians, Authors, Actors, Politicians, Sports Stars? If so let me hear about it.
I used to attend quite a few live music clubs in my 20's and met several musicians, some famous, some not so famous (most notable was probably Alice in Chains, and Howard Leese, the guitarist from Heart). But probably my oddest brush with a "famous band" was when I was just out of Highschool working as a diswasher in our airport restuarant. I was out cleaning up some of the tables and this short guy with an Australian accent asked me if there was any ashtrays. I turned and told him is was in the non-smoking section but I would clear him a table in the smoking area. I recognized him immediately. It was Malcom Young from AC/DC, Angus Young was also with him, so after clearing them a table I talked with them for about 15 minutes about music and stuff.....then they had to catch a flight. I was pretty cool for this 18 year old kid to get a chance to talk to someone that he admired. Also while working at the airport I met Chris Degarmo (guitarist for Queensryche), a few of the "Destroyers" from George Thorogood's backing band. I also met Alice Cooper, and Larry Byrd (from the Boston Celtics)
So what celebrities have you met/talked too? _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I was playing the lounge in a casino in ND about a million years ago. We kept getting request for anything by the Doobie Brothers. Turns out that two of them were in the lounge. They were scheduled to play the casino arena the next night and had gotten to town early, so they came for an adult beverage. We played our country version of 'Long Train Running' and they went crazy. They came and shook our hands after the set and made arrangements for us to be off the next night and attend their show. They showed us how the song is REALLY played.
Also opened a show for Johnny Lee in Pierre, SD and met him and met Porter Waggoner at a car dealership in Nashville.

| I got to meet Robert Sweet (Stryper) and get my picture made for him. This was when he was in Blissed and was opening for Disciple in Nashville. He hung out with me and a buddy who were there, and we got our pictures made with him. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| Yes, I have met celebrity.
I have met and spoken twice with the guitarist of Whitecross. Last week I have met the other members of Whitecross. Shaked hands with Rex Scott from X-Sinner. an other X-Sinner member told about a new CD in 2011. Talked with the guys of Seventh Avenue. Those guys are great, but their music isn't my favorite. I have talked with Troy Thompson of Bride. Talked with Emil of Ulterium Records.

| Looks like Yvonne has meet the most Christian rockers. I also remember a few years ago (probably 10). I was on a very long flight from Alaska to Chicago and I sat next to the bass player from "Badfinger" (a somewhat popular band from the 70's). I don't remember his name now, but I did at the time (he was also it Foghat for a while). We talked a lot about the state of the music scene in the 21st century. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I met John Schlitt after a Petra show in Iowa, circa '93. Really nice, accessible guy. I rapped with White Heart's Ricqk Florian before a concert for about a ten-minute stretch (my buddy Steve and his Christian bookstore provided concessions for these concerts). So I had kind of a "concert pass" thing, helping him and all. |

| Ooh ooh !! I lived across the street from Chuck Norris's Aunt ! We lived in Torrance, L.A. between '69 and '79. During that time, Chuck wasn't popular yet - he was only known for his Karate studio in LA. But he used to visit his Aunt across the street. One day he gave my 2 older brothers a black and white glossy of himself in a "karate kick" pose and autographed them. Who woulda known back then how popular he would become. (I'll hafta ask one of me bros if I can scan his copy) (I didn't get a copy, cuz I was just a little guy then). Oh, and I shook Kevin Max's hand after DC Talk played at Knotts Berry Farm. He was just walking around Knott's by himself so I caught up with him and told him the concert was excellent, shook hands and he said thanks. That's it. | |

| In all seriousness, I once saw Steve Nash (the all star point guard of the Phoenix Suns) in a local antique mall. Didn't get his autograph or anything- he looked busy and I think he was with his mother (so he probably did not want to be bothered).
Also, do not know if this counts or not but when living in Portland, Oregon several years ago saw the figure skater Tanya Harding at a sports card show. She was the "special guest" and was there to sign autographs.

| Wow, now Tanya Harding there is a name I haven't heard for a while. She was a great figure skater, but sadly that is probably not what she is best known for now.

| I didn't actually meet her, but I stood in line for the Matterhorn at Disneyland with Jill Whelan. She played Vicki on The Love Boat.
Helped Bloodgood set up a show so I got to hang with Les Carlson, Michael Bloodgood, David Zaffiro and Mark Welling. Saint opened the show so I got to meet Josh Kramer. I don't recall actually meeting the other guys.
I met Joe Satriani in an AOL Chat Room. I know, not in real life but it was still cool. He actually called the radio station for me for a contest they were running.
I got to talk to Dave Grohl on the phone back when The Foo Fighters were just beginning.
Met Grammatrain, Soulfood '76 & The Reach (aka In Reach aka Brett Williams and In Reach aka Brett Williams)
We were playing a gig for See You At The Party at a pizza place when the guys from Hokus Pick Maneuver crashed it and played a quick set of songs on our gear. That was fun!
