| Doesn't look like there's any rarities there at the moment. Pretty cool area though. If I ever go down to Nashville, you are gonna take me geocaching. | |

| I got two micros today (one based off the book "Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy") and attended a Middle Tennessee Geocachers Club event. That's 1530 for me now. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| This is awesome! My husband & I love to geocashe together. This is so cool to have geocashing on a Christian Metal/Rock forum. Because who doesn't rock out to their favorite band when they are on the "hunt"! | |

| Awesome! We have another among us who wanders but isn't lost!
I got my two FTFs, found 4 more caches (micros), and hid my 32 cache. The one I hid is a traditional, regular sized cache. It is a large lock-n-lock box. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| www.geocaching.com is THE place for geocaching. They are the largest organization in the world and they started the sport. You can join with a free account and maybe move into a premium membership after you get used to it. The cost for premium membership is only $30 per year. It opens up a lot of tools you can use, so it's worth it to me.
I have done most of my caching in Tennessee. I've also been to Kentucky, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. My brother sabidoo has about 18 states now. I have 1536 finds in just over 2 years. I have 32 hidden as well.
If you sign up at www.geocaching.com, be sure to send me a friend's request. My name is the same there as it is here and on the CMR.

Garmin has a site called OpenCaching, but I refuse to use it. They don't have a reviewer process, they try to get info from Groundspeak all the time concerning laws, and they just don't have many caches to do. Besides, they only launched this site when they tried to buy Groundspeak and found that the company wasn't for sale. They just started this to try to draw away some disgruntled geocachers and create a larger marketshare for their handheld GPS unit. It's lame. There was also Navicache and Terracache as far as sites go, but they are all but dead now for the same reasons that OpenCaching isn't catching on: no reviewers and no knowledge of state/local/federal laws.

| 79 finds, mostly in Ontario. I've found a few in France this summer, and a couple in the province of Quebec. I'm not exactly a caching beast, but I go with my dad from time to time. | |

| Add me too, I'm pembroke-dbf there.
A car GPS, as Alldatndensum can tell you, is kinda imprecise, as it's built for general navigation and not precise GPSing. A phone usually is about as uncertain.

like 8 LOL! No so impressive :p What GPS devices does everyone use? We have been using our car gps unit. We have trouble with it jumping around alot. Is that common? Automotive GPS units are made to be accurate to around 100 feet. When looking for a micro container in the woods, that's a LOOOOOOOONG way off. I tried my first few caches that way 2 years ago. I quickly bought a handheld GPS. I am currently using a Garmin eTrex 30 GPS. It is set up for paperless caching, so all clues, most recent logs, and the hint are included on the info in my machine. It also has a compass that continues to point where it should even when you stop moving. Of course, mine has to be acting up even after updating the software. So, I am about to send my back for repair or replacement. I think I just got a bad one as I have seen no one complaining of my issues on the Garmin site.

| For the price, you might want to look at the Magellan Explorist GC. The people that I know that have that unit seem to love it.
