The latest thru netflix...

The Queen~ ordinarily I would skip it but my mom wanted to see it and asked me to get it. While I had it I went ahead and saw it. Not bad.

All on one disc...

Apocalypto

While alot of reviews said it showed off Gibson side for his signiature blood and gore,it wasn't as bad as I expected it. The story was somewhat simplistic for what I was used to by Mel.Then again, most of his movies he didn't do much/any of the writing.

I got to see their show "Ka" when we were in Las Vegas a few years ago. Amazing! We are going back to Disneyworld in Aug., so we might go see Cirque Du Soliel there.

When I first read this I thought you were talking about the Tom Hanks movie "Road to Perdition".
After reading your description I was very confused, funny? evangelistic?

Um, yeah, slightly different.

Actually, we rented the Tom Hanks movie a couple years ago from "Clean Films", but even with the objectional material cut out, we still didn't care for it.

I went to the theater today and saw:

TRANSFORMERS!!!!

This has been the best of the late spring/early summer big budget special effects films this year! I liked Spidey 3, and Pirates 3, LOVED the new Fantastic Four movie, but Transformers blew them all away!!!

Oh Yeah, We watched that one last weekend.
I must say that the wife and I were more than a little surpirsed with the "tragedy" that occurs about 3/4 of the way through the movie.

Also a little disappointed that there wasn't more of "Terabithia" in the film.
Great film though.

I must say that I liked it much better then the original animated version.

I just finished "The Fountain" that stars Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weiss. All I can say is it was weird and hard to follow. Should have rented something where everything gets blown up.

Saw Harry Potter and the Order Of The Phoenix on Saturday. Good movie, probably the 2nd or 3rd best at the moment. It did lack a really good plot, but it was still entertaining and didn't get boring at all.

I liked that movie (actually more than the book). I can see the Mad Max comparison (that whole death of the race thing), but I thought it had much more of a 1984 (George Orwell) kind of feel to it.
