Too cold to have a nice walk here. Our nice weather has turned on us and is windy and freezing cold here in the desert

Oh yeah, it was a crisp 36 degrees here in the Arizona Desert when I woke up this morning. Our 3 weeks of winter is certainly here!

I’m hoping for snow all this week but it will mix with rain washing away any snow. It did snow Sunday morning but melted by mid day.

Color me surprised, I didn't even think it was possible to get rain in MI this time of the year! I figured any precipitation would be in the form of snow or sleet.

Supposed to have blizzard like conditions starting today. Up to 15 inches of snow. As for rain, it has been odd to get Dec rain. I am originally from Michigan but left in 1979. Never imagined I would be back here but love it! I asked my brother about snow. He said he doesn’t snow as much as when I was a kid and lakes don’t freeze over like they used to. I remember when I was young we would see pick up trucks driving out on the lakes.
Still need to post some pics from our trip to the UP back in Oct but haven’t had time.

It's 0 degrees Fahrenheit here in north Idaho today! The low is supposed to be -13 degrees F.

It's days like this I let my wife talk me into moving to Arizona instead of Idaho. It was in the 30s this morning, but it's 52 and sunny at lunch time.

We are going to have a few inches of snow and then plunge into single digits for a couple of days. Since we rarely get measurable snow fall, we don't have the equipment to deal with it on the roads. So, life as we know it will come to a grinding halt Monday when Snowmaggedon 2024 begins!

Actually, we did, but we needed some groceries anyway as I know we will be out of school for a few days. We just made sure we had plenty to eat while we are at home. Since I love fried egg sammiches for breakfast, we NEEDED bread.

Our first winter here I had to run to the store before the chance of snow hit. I was surprised that the bread aisle was pretty much empty. I'm glad we didn't need bread.

Last Sunday we made with the kids and the little ones a nice walk in the dunes. It was very cold, but it was nice to be outside and have a good time together.
Friday it was pizza time, my daughter-in-law made wonder homemade pizza's. And the rest of the family came to enjoy it. It's so goo0d to be with the kids and grandkids. But when you have a very good time and you come home it's so quiet.

It was a rough day. Since I had left it at church and will need it, I stepped over to the other building where the church office is to retrieve my snow shovel. I discovered the building had been broken into.
They stole a 40 gallon garbage can, the chuch's main computer and keyboard (not the monitor), and a small tool kit I left in my office.
It only took Metro Nashville's police department a fast 8 hrs. to show up after we called it in.

Nothing is sacred anymore. We have been broken into and stolen from more times than I count since I have been there. Unless Jesus comes again, this kind of stuff will keep happening. Jesus said they would hate and persecute us since they didn't to Him first.
