Random Ramblings

Oh, and I would have to agree that football is the largest religion in the south.  I feel like I might be one of the 12 people in Tennessee who aren't consumed by high school, college, and pro football.  I seriously do not care.  I enjoy watching an occasional hockey game but haven't done so in over a year now partly because of getting rid of cable/satellite and partly because of the fanaticism I experience with football.

Maybe it means "walk like an Egyptian" or maybe its a tribute to Steve Martin and King Tut.

NASCAR, love it or hate it there's more to it than just driving cars and making left turns.

Just imagine travelling at 200 mph a few inches away from the car in front of you and a few inches away from the car behind you, then make a left turn.

Working at a school has it's perks!  Our HOSA classes were selling doughnuts over the past two weeks.  They raised more than enough to provide FREE doughnuts to the staff yesterday.  I had two--one standard glazed and one chocolate glazed.  Yum-yum!!!


As for working at a school, it is hard to believe that 9 weeks has already passed.  As of today, I am on FALL BREAK for TWO WEEKS!!!  Woot!!!!!  I am hoping to geocache and mix my album this week and then head to Florida the following week.

Keep me in your prayers today as I have an interview with a church about 1 1/2 hours from where I live.  It would require moving although my wife feels like she could keep her current job while just having a longer drive.  We shall see.  I am not getting my hopes up too high as all the other interviews and trials have ended with a closed door this year.

Good to have AutoCAD again

So, this past Sunday while I was taking Catfish Charlie (my dog) to the local dogpark, a minister and some children from his church stopped me to let me know that they were having a Blessing of the Animals at 11 AM until 2 PM.  I thought it was neat and that we'd stop by later once Charlie was done playing at the park.  So we go over there and they're singing after the sermon.  But something's a bit odd.  I finally realize that they'd singing "The Rainbow Connection" (yes, from The Muppet Movie) 

Kinda surreal.  But Charlie got his blessing and a few treats as well.

^What the heck???  What kind of "church" was that minister from?
