Random Ramblings

Working in the textile industry provides plenty of opportunities for me to feel terrible. It'll come with time, but I expect the productivity charts to dip in my department. I'm still pretty slow, and I keep messing up. Happily, my supervisor is very patient.

Glad to hear you have found a job!  Keep trying you will get better quicker than you probably think.

Last night, we went to my niece's final band concert for the year.  She is a sophomore.

Tonight, we are going to see a play at a local community theater.

Tomorrow, I am preaching for my home church.


Whew!  What a busy weekend!

Yesterday I made a wrong step and bruised my foot.
It's not fun.

My weekend is not busy this time.
I love it.

Oh, I forgot that we went to a craft show in Lebanon where most everything was repurposed from something else.  Prices were really too high for me, but I understand craftsmen having to make money as well.  A lot of the items were cool and some were quite bizarre.

We have had my youngest grandson for the entire weekend.  His mother has to work both days, and his father is doing training this weekend with the Army Reserves.  I have to say he is much easier to take care of than his brother (our oldest grandson).  Still a little tiring for us old people to take care of a 15 month old.

You need a good ad blocker.  This is why I use Firefox as it has AdBlock Plus.  I never see the ads.

You can get Adblock Plus in Chrome, too.

Try to go easy on it so it can have a chance to heal.

It's starting to get hot out there. I'm beginning to suspect my car's AC needs to be recharged, as there is barely a trickle of cold, even on full blast.

I love it when we get to exam days at school right before summer break starts.  Most of the kids sign out and leave after their tests if they aren't already exempt from taking them.  The school gets so quiet and peaceful.

I doubt we'll get much peace next year.  We will go to around 2,100 kids when we were built for 1,850.  Yes, the county is building another high school to help with overcrowding, but that takes time.

Yesterday I took the train to visit my daughter-in-law, she's high pregnant.
Still one week till the due date.

As for me, I am celebrating!!!  Why, you ask?  Let me introduce you to my friend Alice who says:

Got my bearing changed, so I can now play The Sound Of Silence, because that's what I'm hearing. My car still feels kind of shifty when turning right, although no more bearing growl!
