| OOP albums are reissued. Albums of older bands are reissued. Even newer bands reissue their albums.
What do you think of reissues? What do you think of newer albums who are reissued? Often only for the money with some extra bonus tracks to make the record company better. What are your thoughts about reissue OOP albums and newer albums? | |

| I think reissues of out-of-print albums are fantastic. I have collected several of these because the originals were just too expensive or completely unavailible.
Reissues of last years albums, with a few new tracks on them makes me unhappy. It just seems like a big cash grab from the record company. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I have to agree with Gary. OOP albums being released are great. This gives us old fans who haven't heard something, or haven't heard it in years, the chance to reconnect with old favorites. These reissues also help connect some new fans to these artists. Reissuing current CDs with just a bonus track and a different artwork is lame. This is just the record company trying to boost sales, but they aren't getting my money from these. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| I agree, reissuing old albums is great. I remember at CMR quite a few years ago there was a big debate about KMG and how they butchered the albums they rereleased. They left out some songs and there was no extra artwork or information on the bands and they generally just didn't do a good job. BUT I for one am glad they did rerelease them, even though they weren't great. If they hadn't, I still would not have copies of Sacred Warriors first two albums, most of Bloodgoods albums and Deliverances first two. Yes, KMG may have released the basic songs and nothing more, but when the songs are that good I don't really care!!! Long live reissues. I have both Mastedon albums, so have no need to buy a reissue, but I really think they need to be reissued because both albums are awesome and those who haven't heard them, really need to get their ears around two of the best melodic pop metal albums that have ever been released in the christian metal world! | Reissue OOP albums is a very cool idea. I have a long list. This is the way to show there are many old but very cool bands who released their music on tapes.
I agree with reissue current CDs with bonus tracks and new artwork is lame. It would be so cool when Retroactive will reissue a lot of the "good old stuff" again.
What do you think when the both Mastedon CDs are reissued are they so very expensive as they are now? It will be cool to have original Mastedon CDs instead of the CD-R's I have now. I like it to read lyrics.

| I have the original Mastedon CDs. So, unless there was a ton of bonus tracks, I would not get them.

| Are reissued Mastedon CDs no "real" CDs? I think I understand what you mean. | |

I have those first 4 Bloodgood albums on the KMG reissues and couldn't be happier. Yes the inserts are rather bare, but I got 4 albums on 2 discs for less than $15 each. I'm pretty sure they even included all the songs for each album (at least for the Bloodgood releases anyway). I have the two Mastedon albums on cassette, so I would be very happy with a reissue for both. I certainly don't want to pay the prices those albums are commanding on e-bay. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

It is just the name of the record company that rereleased those Bloodgood albums Fundy and I were talking about. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

Any reissue of OOP material should really include at least what the original did. If it had lyrics, lyrics should be included. Songs shouldn't be left out. The songs don't have to be remastered either. I've only had 1 KMG release I think. M8 was sometimes like that, too, I think. I've got a couple of those. Reissues of new CDs (unless it's identical to the original) make me sick. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."
