I have been listening to this and to also their s/t cd the last couple of days. I like Carnival World a lot better, but it seems like the recording is very "tinny", way too much in the highs and not enough bass.
Really surprised neither Roxx or Retroactive ever picked these up and remastered them.
What do you guys think about this release?

They had some good songs, but the album sounds more demo-ish than professional label release.

Yeah, exactly. Some of the songs are really hard to listen to, even though they are good songs, because the recording/mixing is soooo bad.
Such a shame no one like Roxx or Retroactive picked this up for a remaster

I find a lot of the Pure Metal stuff sounds tinny. Don’t know why. Some of that stuff has been reissued but a lot of it hasn’t. I think they have tried with several but have been unable to get the rights. I know some bands have refused to let their stuff be reissued. Don’t know why.

When they do manage to redo the Pure Metal releases, they seem to make the recording too muddy. They seem to draw out the low end until it drowns out the guitars to me.
