I don't know if you were aware of it or not, but Skillet released a new album this week called "Dominion".
If you have been a fan all the way through their career, then you will love this. If you stopped liking them when they became more commercial, then you probably won't like this.
I dig it and think it is on par with most of their albums. I would still like to see a return to the "Collide" sound, but they still sound like Skillet even with the more commercial sound.

I loved Collide and really liked Comatose. Awake started to lose me and the little I heard after that didn't really make me want to run out and buy the albums. But if I find it cheap I might snag it.

I only have 3 Skillet albums: Skillet (which I bought from a CD club—remember those?—thinking it would have this cool Whirlwind song I'd heard), Hey You I Love Your Soul (which actually had Whirlwind, but was a couple months away from release when I'd heard the single), and Awake (bought on the strength of Hero and Monster). I have not followed their career closely, but it's great they're still going strong after 20+ years. Even though that means I'm getting really old, I guess.

I like their early stuff... thought the mid stuff was okay, and I love the newer stuff.

This was close to my experience with the band. Collide was alright, but I loved Comatose. I really dug Awake as well (just to a lesser degree than Comatose, but they started to lose me a bit at Rise and I never even bothered with Unleashed or Victorious. I should probably go back and check out those last two. I think John's "shouty-style" vocals just wear on me after awhile.

Unleashed and Victorious have some awesome tracks. They have the mandatory ballads to get on Christian radio, but they don't overpower the rest of the content.
Dominion, for me, is every bit as good as Comatose. I haven't found a song I don't like.

Enjoying their Winter Jam set now. Was surprised by their thrash like ending to Indestructible. Picked up the new CD.

If you like that, you should also check out Jon Cooper's side band Fight The Fury. It is heavier than Skillet.
