| Arguably the Petra album with the most hit singles. From what I understand this album was all over Christian rock radio in the early 1990’s. And for good reason, great songs with big hooks, and fantastic musicianship made this album radio ready right out of the package. This was the 12th album for Petra, released on the Dayspring (Word) label in 1990. The Elefante brothers show up to produce, and provide backing vocals on this album. The album won a Grammy, and no less than 4 dove awards (according to wikipedia.com). I must say that I was surprised by this album. I had never heard much of Petra before getting this album, and it really impressed me. There are no less than 3 music videos on youtube for songs on this album. For the songs “Beyond Belief” “Creed” and “Seen & Not Heard” (click the links below) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WoN5IFKEn0Q https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k54i00BSIdo&feature=related https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cy2wugCzwU0&feature=related _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... | This is my absolute favorite Petra disc. There isn't a bad song on it. This is when Petra really hit it's stride, and they were definitely a force to be reckoned with in Christian music. They had the musicianship, the live show, the writing abilities, etc. If they could have held this lineup together after "Wake Up Call", their latter albums could have been a lot better. But, after John Lawry left, and Bob semi-retired, things were just not the same. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| I like this album, but I don't love it. There are probably 4 or even 5 or 6 other Petra albums I like better. But, this is a good record. Songs like Armed & Dangerous, Creed, Prayer and Underground are terrific. | |

| One of my top 4 Petra albums.
Jekyll and Hyde and On Fire are probably my favourite, but This Means War and Beyond Belief are snapping at their heals!

| I only own 4 or 5 Petra albums, and this one is definately the tops IMO. I wish they could have kept up with this level of performance, but other than Jeckyl and Hyde, I can't seem to get into anything they did after Wake Up Call (1993). _________________ "I used to be indecisive..........
