I find 80s new wave and AOR and the overlap to be relaxing in a way.

They started as Flock 14 so you might check them out also. I lived near the singer in Portland way back when and saw them open for Undercover. Very Cure sound band.

Imo, Flock 14 was less developed but the core sound is there.
