While I do like the song, the music is fairly forgettable. There is no distinctive riff to set off the song. They can do so much better than this.

I'm not digging it at all. I don't know if it's because I have moved on from the genre mostly or because they are starting to sound kind of tired and generic but I didn't even buy the last Skillet album and probably won't get this one either.

It does sound very much a "Skillet" song. That said, Cooper uses some vocal tricks that he's never used before so that makes this one a little different.

As part of my Google Play monthly rental, I downloaded all of Skillet's catalog. I have to agree with Alldat's opinion--there's a blandness and unoriginality seeping through this track.
That being said, with the flat monthly rate, I plan on downloading Victorious when it drops.

How does the rental work, Norm?

Kind of boring, like 80% of Skillet songs.

Just a figure of speech. You can opt to sign up for one month-$10 on GP, and download unlimited music to your private collection. Very good service for the price. I have stumbled upon DOZENS of bands and OOP stuff in MP3 form.
