Scripture Songs

So I found a group that takes Scripture and puts it to music called Seeds Family Worship (https://www.seedsfamilyworship.com/). It's very cool. But musically, it's pretty soft. Does anyone know if there's anyone out there doing the same thing with more of a rock feel? I want to get something like this for our whole family to listen to and my 8 year old likes rock and heavier music.

I don't know of anything like this.  It would be something that isn't really being done.  I wouldn't mind hearing some classic metal with some Scripture as the lyrics IF they could do it in a way where it came off as a real song.  Some songs we used at church camp for our children were scripture memory songs.  They worked okay, but I felt like the songs were forced just to make the Bible verses fit into the music that was written.

There are a handful of bands who directly pull their lyrics from Scripture and include references in their booklets, but I don't know if it's quite to that level.

Place Of Skulls (traditional doom metal), Adorned Graves (thrash/doom/death metal), and Renascent (symphonic death/black metal) are ones to come to mind.

I actually tag my music if they contain a significant passage of word-for-word scripture, or if I can tell it is directly paraphrased. (An isolated phrase is not enough.) That way if I feel in the need to get some Word into my soul, I just hit this playlist. Most Christian music is edifying, but sometimes there's no replacement for scripture itself, you know?

The artists I have include PoetTree.com, Israel's Hope, Jamie Soles, The Josties, Adonai, Jaci Velasquez, Anderson Cale, High Prairie Mennonite Choir, The Indelible Project, The Outer Court, Stu G, Anthony Skinner, Robbie Seay Band, Whitecross, Third Day. (I probably have more but I didn't tag my collection as consistently early on.) Some do many more songs like this than others, some are scripture throughout while others use it as a refrain, etc. Unfortunately not much on the harder side, though. The Whitecross track is the only one that comes to mind, and that's basically spoken word over a drum rhythm.

The Seventh Power's later work has some songs lifted from Scripture.

Disciple did this a fair bit on their earlier albums.

I'm listening to Children Of Wrath's CD and the lyrics are pulled directly from Scripture.
