A visiting preacher told us this, and mentioned that it was true...
A couple went away on holiday and asked their friend to look after their dog whilst they were away. The friend duly agreed and would take the dog on long walks in a park in London. One unfortunate day whilst out for a walk the dog keeled over and died. The friend was completely shocked and didn't have a clue what to do. It was too far to walk home carrying the dog, and he didn't have a car. After much thought he came up with a plan. He hid the dog in a hedge on the edge of the park and went home to get a suitcase. He figured that he could put the dog in suitcase, wheel it to the underground/subway and get the dog back home that way. This he did, and it all worked quite well. He managed to get the dog in to the suitcase and then down to the underground and then on to the train.
Finally he got to his stop and had to some how lift the suitcase up a long flight of stairs. He wasn't the fittest of guys so he struggled slowly up the stairs, but halfway up he stopped, completely exhausted.
At that point a younger and fitter man came across and asked if he wanted a hand. The friend was very pleased and gratefully accepted.
The young man picked up the suitcase and carried it up to the top of the steps, and then ran off with it as he was actually a thief.
It was at that point that you wonder what that young man would be thinking when he opened the suitcase! Expecting to see clothes, money and maybe valuables... instead he sees a dead dog.
Sometimes the true stories are the most bizarre!
