What about something like "Hell, Foolishness and Everything Else"? That might be workable, actually. I started working on the remake of "Where The Worm Dieth Not" yesterday. I got the rhythm guitars and bass done. I didn't change it much, but there are some chords that with have that bluesy "7th" note added. The arrangement is still fairly close to the original. I still have to finish the vocals. I almost got that done yesterday. Not bad for less than 2 hours work. So far I have done: Bootlegger's Prayer Please Don't Make Me Watch A Chick Flick Completely Flexible Give It To Jesus Burning Bush Yet to come possibly: I Love You More Than Meatloaf Lord, How I Love The Way She Walks Man Overboard Free .....and one track I haven't decided on now that I am shooting for a full length release. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| I'd be up for another collaboration between me and Fundy. I've been very satisfied both lyrically and musically with what we have done prior to this.
You up for it, Fundy? Whatcha got?
I'd love to do something that highlights the ills of the sex trade industry while it is a hot topic but have no lyrics for something like that. Think you could work around with that? _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| You work hard to finish songs. I see a lot of new songs. Vet gaaf. I hope Fundy can write some great lyrics for you. What do you think: is it possible the other members of CHM to do the back ground vocals? On this way we all help you with a new full lenght album.

| I've been putting my thinking cap on (it was upstairs in my shirts drawer!) and I've come up with a few ideas for the sex trade song. I'll finish them up later and get back to you. Always happy to assist as best I can, especially with BC&DBBB as I still listen to that album at least once or twice a week! _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... Silence Is Madness

| When I start thinking of some lyrics I keep thinking until I've finished. So at work today I had a note pad with me all day long and I kept making notes, adjusting and changing. Here's the first one...
LEGS My parents taught, “Don’t do it! As it rips apart you soul! You’ll think it’s not a problem, but it soon will take control.” They said lights in the city, Can be sometimes tinged with red, And it’s a place of torment which would mess about my head. But I saw legs. Long, long legs. I saw Legs. Long, long legs. My parents they once told me, “You’ll regret it, if you do!” But their belief, don’t give relief! Not like those girls I knew! My mind’s now unrestricted, oh, it's been so for a while. But no, I’m not addicted, And I am NOT in denial. But those legs, Long, long legs. Ohhhh! Legs, Long, long legs. And now I’m hooked on hookers! And on many I have dined! It’s not complex, I live for sex! It permeates my mind! Now that is all I think of, oh, and that is all I crave. Could their insight, have been quite right, my soul it does enslave? Oh, those legs, Long, long legs. Hmm, Legs, Long, long legs. I think I need escaping, But, yes this thing is my vice, It may be wrong, but much too strong, it always does entice. Destroying lives of many, who do think it all for fun. But now it’s clear, get out of here! Just use your legs and run! Legs! Long, long legs! Legs, Long, long legs. _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... Silence Is Madness

| Here's the second...
RED-LIGHT WARNING
She was fifteen years old and she felt so alone. Her dad on the bottle, her mom on the phone, and nothing of love or of caring was shown. This poor little kid she was lost. This poor little kid she was tossed to and fro. She had none who loved her and no place to go. And soon she would find out the cost. A red-light warning! Stop before you fall! A red-light warning! Stop before you fall! She left in the morning, her mom wasn’t there. Her dad was asleep, and still drunk in the chair, She looked and she shrugged as now she didn’t care, She left and then walked out the door. She left and then walked out the poor little child, Who’d grow up too quickly who’d soon be defiled. And then she could take it no more.
A red-light warning! Stop before you fall! A red-light warning! Stop before you fall! At first it seemed easy when nerves had subdued, At first she had noticed the money accrued. But deep in her heart there an emptiness brewed. She sold herself every night. She sold herself every light it did fade, And happiness missing in life’s big parade. The future for her wasn’t bright.
A red-light warning! Stop before you fall! A red-light warning! Stop before you fall! The girl was soon twenty and all that she’d seen; The money so hollow; her job just obscene; A life superficial, a carnival queen. She looked at her body – a thing. She looked at her body – a wing and a prayer Was stopping her quitting and ending right there. No peace in the end did it bring.
A red-light warning! Stop before you fall! A red-light warning! Stop before you fall! _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... Silence Is Madness

| Finally, the third...
Legs is from a guys point of view. Red-Light Warning is from a girls point of view. Fleeting Pleasure is from both sides...
FLEETING PLEASURES
It’s a downward spinning spiral, In this game of give and take. Since the fall it has gone viral, Oh, the addicts it does make. Where the pull of all the passion, In the world that lives in night, Where the shortest dress is fashion, Down the road of neon light You see it now, the beauty queen, They’re dancing in a world obscene, The money rolls, the colour green! But lives are shot apart. Enticed by what this life could do, With money, they could start anew, But in the end their lives askew, It’s tearing at their heart. Oh, on both sides it’s decaying, as the fleeting pleasure dies, and the truth it is displaying that the strength of money lies. Emotions of the single fare’s, Soon paid up in a Kiss, Can’t pull them to the truth that there’s, a better life than this! There’s a better life than this! There’s a better life than this! You see it now, the beauty queen, They’re dancing in a world obscene, The money rolls, the colour green! But lives are shot apart Enticed by what this life could do, With money, they could start anew, But in the end their lives askew, It’s tearing at their heart. _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... | I am going to copy all of those and really take a look. I like both "Legs" and "Red Light Warning".
"Legs" could be reworded a bit to make it an addiction to pornography. I think that could be powerful since I do want to tell stories and highlight social ills as well as preach the gospel.
"Red Light Warning" is cool. It needs to be shortened by one verse or you will have a really long song. Also, instead of the girl leaving, let's change it to where she is snatched away against her choice. There are nearly 50,000 young girls world-wide that are abducted and forced into the sex industry. If you can, lets swing the story that direction.
This could be a cool addition to the tracks that would balance out the silly songs that I am doing. Also, it would be teaching Biblical principles while telling a good story. That is what Jesus did many times.
See! Gary had a great idea!

| Thanks Yvonne.
Here's a second go at the "RED-LIGHT WARNING" lyric idea, this time it's about a girl being snatched. It's possible you could lose verse one and just have a couple of lines in place of it (I've put the couple of lines in brackets a bit like an into to the song - I had to change her age to fit the rhythm)...
RED-LIGHT WARNING (Version 2) 12 She was fourteen years old and she felt so alone. 11 Her dad on the bottle, her mom on the phone, 11 and nothing of love or of caring was shown. 8 This poor little kid she was lost. 11 This poor little kid she was tossed to and fro. 11 She’d walk through the streets she had no place to go. 8 And soon she would find out the cost. A red-light warning! Stop before you fall! (x2) (At twelve she felt lonely, her parents weren’t there.)
(She wandered the streets, no one seemed to care…)
11 One morning he took her, and plied her with drugs. 11 It cancelled the pain of a life without hugs. 11 and in she did go to a world full of thugs, 8 She blankly then walked in that door. 11 She blankly then walked in that poor little child, 11 Who’d grow up too quickly who’d soon be defiled. 8 And then she could take it no more. A red-light warning! Stop before you fall! (x2) 11 At first it seemed easy when nerves had subdued, 11 At first she had noticed the money accrued. 11 But deep in her heart there an emptiness brewed. 8 She sold herself every night. 11 She sold herself every light it did fade, 11 And happiness missing in life’s big parade. 8 The future for her wasn’t bright. A red-light warning! Stop before you fall! (x2) 11 The girl was soon twenty and all that she’d seen; 11 The money so hollow; her job just obscene; 11 A life superficial, a carnival queen. 8 She looked at her body – a thing. 11 She looked at her body – a wing and a prayer 11 Was stopping her quitting and ending right there. 8 No peace in the end did it bring. A red-light warning! Stop before you fall! (x2) _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... Silence Is Madness

I am liking both of these and will now do my usual part and see what I can do with them. That may require some rewriting to get this where it will fit with my musical writing style. For those of you who don't know, this is how we did the song "Hostile To The Gospel". Fundy wrote the words, reworked them, and then I trimmed, refitted, and reworded. The results were great! With the song "Thank You" on the BC&DBBB CD, I pretty much went with what Fundy had written. I trimmed a couple of lines to keep them from being too wordy when it came to vocal delivery, but I would say 95% of his original piece is intact.

| I now have the music (minus drums) done for "I Love You More Than Meatloaf". I still have to do the backing vocals. I did the guitar solo and actually nailed it on the first try. That almost never happens!
I also have the rhythm guitars and bass done for the new version of "Man Overboard". It will be different, but not majorly so. I have simplified some of the bass in it. I still have to relearn the original guitar solo and transcribe it to G and play it on three strings instead of 6. So, that could structurally change as well since I am using a more simplistic instrument.
I am still working on ideas for Fundy's lyrics but will keep moving ahead on the songs I have.
