| Yes, shoe question. I have a question about shoes.
About a year ago I used a gift card and bought a pair of shoes. They fit, they look nice but they are stiff as a board. I hardly ever wear them because it's so hard to walk around in them.
So, you guys that wear dress shoes, can I do something to soften them up? They're Dockers Gordon Oxfords.

| Mink oil? It usually softens them up but I have never tried it on dress shoes. I use it on my work boots. | |

| Are you referring to the uppers being too stiff or the actual sole of the shoe? | |

| It's the uppers. It bears down on the top and sides of my feet. | |

| don't know if this helps but maybe just time and wearing them...
I wear Georgia Giant Romeo Work Shoe (http://www.georgiaboot.com/georgia/mens/rugged-lifestyle/georgia-giant-romeo-work-shoe/GR262.html) and when they are new they are impossible to even get on (at least) my feet without pulling them on with both hands for about a month then eventually they break in to where I can slip them on without hand assist at all...

| I hate dress shoes and try to avoid them like the plague. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I don't wear dresses and therefore don't need the shoes.
I'd just start wearing them around the house a bit for short periods of time to help break them in. I used to do that with my football cleats about a week before practice started.

| Wear them while watching TV and the times you need to get up will break them in. If they get uncomfortable then you're in a place where you can take them off without people looking at you funny. | |

| And if you do that shortly after you buy them, if they never feel comfortable you can likely return them. Most places will do returns on shoes as long as they've never been worn out. | |
