| I am glad that Disciple is retaining their rock sound when so many Christian artists have gone full on piano pop (Fireflight, The Afters, The Newsboys, Nine Lashes, etc.). Sure, they aren't the metal band they once were, but this style has worked well for them. I look forward to getting the downloads very soon with the Kickstarter drive they did. The CDs have been delayed, but the downloads will still be available as promised. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| I haven't got to play it yet, but the downloads from the new album came in my email today from their Kickstarter campaign.

| I love the songs! This is definitely on par with recent albums. This might be a tad heavier than "O God Save Us All" and "Attack".
Sadly, this is a little weak in the guitar solo department, but the songs are good enough that I don't really care! _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| Hmm... my pledge included the early digital release and I haven't heard squat. I don't mind so much, as I know I'll get the CD eventually, but it's puzzling. | |

| They may be sending out the emails in waves. It could have fallen into your SPAM folder. You could have been overlooked. If you haven't gotten it in a day or two, just email them and let them know you didn't get it. Disciple has always been professional with getting product out. That is the only reason I do their pledge drives.

| Apparently I was not listening closely on the first listen. There are guitar solos on almost every song!

| So the band just announced via the Kickstarter site that today is release day. Interesting. My pledge promise was for the digital download two weeks before release day and the CD one week before the release day, and yet I didn't get either. I have left a couple of comments on the site, as have other people in the same position, and yet there are no responses for anyone, nor has anyone emailed me. It's beginning to look like I simply donated my $$.
And yes, I checked my spam and trash folders, and I verified that I responded to the survey, and that they have the correct credit card number.
I still like Disciple, but if I have to pay for the CD again I won't be happy about it. This has been the most poorly managed Kickstarter I have ever been involved with.

| Did you get everything worked out with them band? If you still have your Kickstarter receipt, you can email them and let them know that you didn't get the downloads. They will take care of you. Sometimes, mistakes just happen, BearDad.
You really SHOULD contact them as you are missing a great project. Musically, it is one of their best to me. Maybe I was just ready for a new Disciple disc, or maybe they pushed themselves to make something that connected with their fans. Either way, I don't care. It is a strong album and will make my top 10 and possibly top 5.

Maybe I was just ready for a new Disciple disc, or maybe they pushed themselves to make something that connected with their fans. Either way, I don't care. It is a strong album and will make my top 10 and possibly top 5. Yeah. I emailed them directly via the "owner" link in Kickstarter. I tried to be polite (I think I succeeded <shrugging>) and pointed out that several folks had made comments about not receiving then digital DLs without getting any type of response, not publicly at least. I also said that I know them, know their history, know their witness, that their heart is true, and that this was likely just some type of mistake. And I added that I understood not getting the CD early since they had a delay due to quality issues and didn't want to postpone the release date. I then pointed out for future reference, should they do another campaign, other KS compaigners I have been involved with have been very good at replying to the online comments and questions concerning missing product, etc. Like I said, I tried to say "where's my stuff" and "I think you could have done this a little better" without sounding quite so harsh. I don't know if I succeeded or not; I imagine if I were in their shoes I might not have seen my message as polite as I tried to make it. Again, <shrugging> I did get a reply, within minutes in fact. Kevin (or whoever sent it; I assume it was him) apologized, thanked me for the feedback, told me the emails with the link to the digital DL did not come from Kickstarter but from Disciple directly, and provided the link so I could DL again. I rechecked my old emails, and I have nothing from them. It's possible I deleted it, although I wouldn't have done that on purpose as I still have all my emails from them from their first campaign; I don't delete emails lightly. In any case I have DL'd the songs but have not had an opportunity to listen to them. Perhaps this evening. I am assuming the CD will arrive in a day or day; when it comes I can spin it in my truck and give it a better listen. I think my disappointment with the campaign was how little they communicated; only a few updates, and no apparent responses to online comments. I'm involved with a couple others for Sci-Fi/Fantasy movies that send a lot of updates (almost too many LOL) and have responded to every question or comment I have made online.

| I thought they did pretty good with communication, personally. I was getting updates at least once a month and sometimes more. I've had some artists like Randy Rose who have gone almost silent since starting his drive. That bothers me.
I have complained to the band on previous albums about forgetting to bring guitar solos. I need to drop them a note THANKING them for that this time. Artists always get a ton of negativity dumped on them. This is one time that I have the ability to bless them.

| Just or giggles, I have remastered Disciple's "What Was I Thinking" and "My Daddy Can Whip Your Daddy" albums to give them a tonal quality more in line with the rest of their catalog.
I also remastered the bonus tracks from "Horseshoes & Handgrenades" and the ones from the extended version of the self-titled album (which is also known as "Rise Up" for some reason). I only remastered them to make them sound like they came from the same project. I put them together and made an album called "Bonus Tracks". Now, instead of some really long albums, I have a shorter album on my FiiO player that I will play!
OK, that is all.

I've received two or three e-mail updates from Randy, I wonder if you're just not getting them for some reason. (I'm just digging through my e-mails now and I got one when I signed up in July, then 4 updates in August, and 2 in September). _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

I know, which is why I didn't email them at first. I wanted to give them an opportunity to respond. But after two weeks they still hadn't done so, so I went the email route. Even then I tried to keep it positive, but it's hard to complain in a positive manner. :(I probably failed miserably.

| Got the digital DL a week ago; listened to it a few times at work, definitely liked it. Got the CD a couple of days ago; it's in the truck now but will probably only last a couple of days as the new Theocracy CD will be here by Friday.
Favorite song so far: "Spinning" ...
Another sun is born while another star goes black And the world keeps spinning around Another disease is cured while another bomb is dropped And the world keeps spinning around Somebody's tragedy is somebody's victory And the world keeps spinning around And the world keeps spinning around
My heart can't take it anymore I'm like a burned out cigarette Wish the world would just stop spinning for a minute No safe place in a civil war The meaningful and the meaningless Wish the world would just stop spinning for a minute
The bullet that slayed was the same bullet that saved And the world keeps spinning around The blood of thousands spilled The greatest nations built And the world keeps spinning around And the world keeps spinning around
My heart can't take it anymore I'm like a burned out cigarette Wish the world would just stop spinning for a minute No safe place in a civil war The meaningful and the meaningless Wish the world would just stop spinning for a minute Just stop spinning for a minute!
I don't know if I can handle your answers to the questions I have inside my heart So just hold me in the chaos Hold me while the world keeps spinning out of my control
My heart can't take anymore I'm just a used up cigarette Wish the world would just stop spinning for a minute No safe place in a civil war The meaningful and the meaningless Wish the world would just stop spinning for a minute
My heart can't take it anymore I'm just a brain dead silhouette Wish the world would just stop spinning for a minute Would just stop spinning for a minute Just stop spinning for a minute

| I helped fund the new album and I must say it was well worth it as I really like the album. I like and own everything they've done and prefer the older stuff but they still put out good quality music. |
