Favorites Game

So guilty/forgiven is always coming up with games and I had someone tell me about this one. It's just called Favorites and you have to tell 5 favorite things. It can be any five things, as long as they're your favorite. I'll start:

My Five Favorite Fiction Books (in no particular order)
1. For Whom the Bell Tolls - Ernest Hemingway
2. Great Gatsby - F Scott Fitzgerald
3. East of Eden - John Steinbeck
4. Jurassic Park - Michael Crichton
5. The Shepherd of the Hills - Harold Bell Wright (if you aren't from Missouri, this is kind of a local thing. This was written in the late 1890's about the area around Branson. Very amazing book - I usually read it every year around November.)

My Favorite Beverages:
1. Coffee
2. Code Red
3. Egg Nog
4. Coke & Malibu
5. Hot Chocolate w/Peppermint Schnapps

My Favorite Desserts
1. Apple Pie (home-made)
2. Blueberry Crisp
3. Cinnamon Coffee Cake (no, there's no coffee in that)
4. Baklava
5. Rum Cake

I believe it's Coke mixed with Malibu rum, which is rum and coconut flavored liqueur.

Ok that makes sense, kind of a tropical take on the old "rum & coke" standard.

Order a Coke and a shot of Malibu and mix.

Talking of sci-fi.  Here's my Star Wars films in order...

1 - The Force Awakens - After repeated watches this is now my favourite of all.
2 - The Empire Strikes Back - For Hoth really.  Yoda was annoying though.
3 - A New Hope - Great film.
4 - The Return Of The Jedi - Good and entertaining.  I liked the ewoks, but how could they defeat the empire!
5 - Revenge Of The Sith - Best of the prequels.  Excellent opening battle!
6 - The Phantom Menace - Underrated in my opinion.  I don't find Jarjar annoying either!
7 - Attack Of The Clones - Good film, BUT terrible acting from a number of them.

It's kind of funny because I'm not really much of a fan of Tom Cruise, but I really like three of his relatively recent Sci-fi films: Edge of Tomorrow, Oblivion, and Minority Report... however, I wasn't much of a fan of the remake of War of the Worlds.

2. racist (this one was hilarious. Of my closest friends, one is white, one is black, one is Mexican and one is Indian)
3. Kiss-donkey (that's code for another word. And to be clear, I'm not at all. Actually, administration thinks I'm too "challenging" sometimes...)

Five favourite alternative sodas, in no particular order:
1. Cherry vanilla Pepsi (the great taste of Pepsi, followed by cream soda)
2. Bull's Head ginger spruce beer (regionally made strong ginger ale with a hint of spruce)
3. Boylan birch beer (product of NY state, tastes like root beer but somehow different)
4. Red Champagne green apple (Northern Québec-made, uncannily like an actual green apple)
5. Bec maple cola (another Québecois soda, smooth cola with a smoky aftertaste of maple)

Might as well go for a soda, nobody hurts and nobody cries…
