Since we started to talk about other music styles in this new section.
I was curious to know what your other favorite bands are in this music style?

I like bands as Third day, some Casting Crowns, Lincoln Brewster, Jeff Deyo, rocking Praise Power collection.

I really like Third Day, and I have two very good albums from Jeff Deyo.

I also like....

Circleslide
Todd Agnew's first album
Jeremy Camp (at least his first few)
Damask Rose
Degarmo & Key (difficult stuff to find, I only have 3 albums)
Jennifer Knapp (kind of hit and miss though)
Darrel Mansfield (again kind of hit and miss)

I also really like Idle Cure and White Heart and much of Liaison's stuff, but they often get lumped into the "hard music" discussion

I wish the Degarmo & Key albums would be reissued.

I was a big fan of ApologetiX (as you obviously knew)

... but I just got their latest album.... I guess I'll hafta listen to it a few more times. It seems like this is their weakest release in 10 years.
Lyrically, it's great, but J doesn't seem to be hitting the notes on this album.

But I do love about 7 of their studio albums... which still makes me a fan !

Speaking of "Wish you were here" (as I have down there for my signature/picture of the CHM get together...)

ApologetiX do a parody of "Wish you were here" by Pink Floyd... "Wish you could hear". This one is excellent, sounds great.

The first place I always check is ebay. Not all of them are used. Somtimes there will be a seller that has a store they sell all kinds of stuff on there. You just need to check around. Plus not all of them are priced up there.

I would suggest starting with the s/t D&K ,The Pledge,Street Light and Go to the top.

iTunes has several of them, if not all. That's how I re-stocked my collection. Cool

I used to buy from I-tunes (on occasion) but they force you to use their klunky massive i-tunes player and that really cheezes me off....so I don't buy from them anymore.
I have purchased maybe 15 cd's from ebay and have been burned 3 times...not a very good track record IMO....so I avoid them as well.

That's understandable. I have been lucky that I've never been burned by anyone thru ebay. I've only used itunes a couple of times when a someone at work asked me to get some songs for them. They payed me back for it. I usually don't download as I prefer a cd in my hands.

It could be, with the 5 inch floppy disc... remember how you could hear the thin disc inside the plastic square spinning ?

Which now has been all but replaced by those little flash drives.

I thought this new era of hard disk drives (beit external terabytes or little flash drives) was gonna be the ultimate in storage. I remember about 4 years ago migrating all my backup discs and stored dox on 3 diff pcs all onto my first 500gb HDD. Loved it, everything in one place and I could search and find whatever I wanted in a blink.
Until.... one day I went into my music files and found them all there like usual BUT NOTHING INSIDE THE FOLDERS !! You know that cold feeling you get... well I was shaking, I opened another folder containing all my Deliverance albums, then opened the folder containing the album 'Learn'.... empty.
I selected all my music files and chose properties to see the "size" (expecting to see 120+ GB)... it was zero !! All my music and tons of other files were gone.

I still have the HDD but it's cobwebbed in my closet. Anyone else have this problem with a hard drive ? My assumption is, the information is still on the drive, just something blocking them as if they're not there... why would 250+ GB of info dissappear, but leave behind all the folders they were in ?

Weird.

That is really weird. Almost like it got some kind of virus or something.

I guess. It just happened on my external HDD and not my actual PC, so go figure.
