| I was reading thru all my old MAD Magazines not long ago and thought this article from a 1982 issue was hilarious. With all the latest talk about episode 7, I thought I'd scan this article for the enjoyment of all you CHMers. I know you'll appreciate it How many of these predictions came to pass according to MAD Magazine ? (Page 1 of 5) | |

| After Disney is done, there actually WILL be 12 films. There is the new trilogy that starts in December with three more films coming that fill in blanks for us that won't be in chronological order. Maybe MAD was on to something! _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| Ha ! What a trip !
I heard that December's would be part 1 of a new trilogy, but didn't know they'd do any beyond that. Wouldn't surprise me though. | |

| Ha, this is great! Just now getting around to checking it out. I loved Mad when I was a kid. Haven't read one in years so I wonder if it is anything like it used to be. Probably not. Anyway, those are funny. I am looking forward to the next trilogy. Can't wait for Dec! (And this weekend we will probably see the Peanuts movie). | |

| I got back into MAD about a year ago, and no, it's NOT the same. Just like TV and other forms of entertainment these days, MAD has become more crude and allows stuff that once was tamed down. That said, there's still a lot of redeeming humor, clever writing and great artwork. So, just like TV, if you can muddle thru some trash, you'll find yourself enjoying some good humor. I still have my collection that goes back to the early 60s (and one issue from the late 50s right after they switched their format from comic size to magazine format)... and while the new stuff has some funny moments, it'll never be the same as when we were growing up in the 70s and 80s when MAD was at it's peak. | |
