Yes, the Beaverton is satire - more or less The Onion. They're not making light of shootings at all, though. They're drawing attention to the fact that this is a real issue.

From initial findings, the shooter had no ties to ISIL other than stating on the phone that he was with ISIL. He'd supposedly been interviewed by the FBI three times.
And yet ISIS or ISIL or whatever name you want to give them has claimed that this was their doing, the shooters dad has videos on YouTube where he is spewing hatred towards the US--the same dad that said his little boy wasn't radicalized, and so does the Imam that presided over their mosque. When you take this all into account, this was an extremist Muslim terror strike.

^^ Doesn't really matter who's to blame, it was evil, and sadly there are liberal groups blaming it on Christians, saying we have created an environment of hate for the LGBT. <sigh> So sad how a faith based on love gets the blame for so much hate. The enemy, he is a busy one!
Then there's the Clown in Chief, using it as yet another platform for trying to take away our 2nd Amendment rights.

Teak oil does not dry in Tennessee's heat and ultra high humidity. It will stay sticky for days and days.
Goo Gone fixes the problem!
Now I can finish the current guitar I am building and get it delivered.

Just like Nero blaming the Christians for the fires in Rome. Solomon was right. There really is nothing new under the sun.

My oldest daughter is working at an internship in Sioux Falls (three hours away). My youngest daughter leaves for Mexico on Friday, 6/10. My wife leaves for Washington state on Saturday, 6/11.
I WILL THEN HAVE THE HOUSE TO MYSELF (except the pets) UNTIL SUNDAY, 6/19. That's NINE days!!!
WOO HOO!!!
Saturday cannot get here soon enough!
The party is over. Daughter #2 is now home from Mexico, daughter #1 will be home Wednesday night, and the wife will be home sometime Friday.
I gotta admit, while I really enjoy being alone and not having to answer to anyone or anything (even a job, as I took the week off work), I am glad everyone is coming home and am really looking forward to seeing my wife again. We may not have the best marriage or the easiest relationship, but she's still the love of my life.

Glad to hear you aren't alone anymore. I really enjoy some alone time, but too much time alone isn't good for a man.

I'm watching The Clone Wars. Man, this art is horrible! I know from the context that Padme is supposed to be wearing a sexy low-cut dress, but the art just makes her look like someone's saggy-boobed old grandma.

You forgot about; fall in love, travel, meet people, spend all your money (or marry someone who will do it for you), pass a lot of gas

I was going to say something about listening to music while washing my car, but somehow it just sounds off to talk about listening to anti-establishment punk while washing your Audi.
