Random Ramblings

Houston is more than likely big enough to have more than one DMV. I'm in a town of over 100,000 and the only one is on the west extreme. I live as far east as one can get in this town, and the ring road hasn't quite been opened yet all the way, which is a pain... ah well, could be worse...

Today is the last day before fall break!  Yippee!  It is hard to believe that 9 weeks of school are already past.  In two weeks, I will be winding the clock for Christmas break!

I'm getting Windows 10 today.

It is a bit different if you have an older version of Windows.  It isn't all that different than Windows 8, though.  I wish they'd just bring back the stinking start menu in its classic form.

I've to figure out lots of things and learn where I can find all the things.
Till yesterday I've used Windows 7.

I was hoping to get a new Windows Media Player so I can rip my new CDs.

I thought this would be a good idea but this is one weird mama jama.

I did end up getting my minibus license on Friday! As well, getting the class 4B for minibus automatically covers the class 4C, which is for taxis. (It also includes the class 5, which is the regular license.) So, if finances turn sour, I just have to get certified and start driving a taxi. Or drive old people around in a minibus.

I am testing out Classic Shell on my laptop now.  It looks a bit different than it did with Windows 7, but it making the new Windows 10 upgrade work more like I like.  Windows should make this option available in the upgrade so you don't need a third party piece of software.

After almost 7 days with Windows 10 I've some things I don't like.
The best thing is my WMP is working for 100% now.
I can rip my new CDs.
Yipppeeeee.
I miss the Windows Live Mail on Windows 10.
Using Outlook is not cool.

I just bought 8 electric guitars from an auction that I intend to strip for parts for cigar box guitars.  Total price was $56--$8 a piece!
