| Ok so I am talking to engineers and ready to book studio time but it's hard to pull the trigger and commit to spending money on the project when we only have 825 likes. I'm just having an honest moment with you!
Estimated recording time frame ...... summer 2015 !!
This is what the Novella page on FB tells us.

| I hope they can record an album, but I can understand their apprehension. I doubt they will have the success they experienced with their first two albums. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| We've discussed this some on CMR. Several of us, while not being overly fond of fan financing, have told them to do a Kickstarter campaign. It will show them how much of a fan base they still have. Also, it makes it possible to do this record with minimal cost. I know I would get behind this if they did it. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| One other thing to consider, not everyone has or fully uses a Facebook account. If there was a way to get more feedback for those that don't use social media,I'm sure they would respond (myself included). | |

| I have stayed away from kickstarter in the past, but I think I would get on board with Novella if they went that route. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I'd back them for a Kickstarter. I've not had a Kickstarter project let me down yet. Yea, there have been a couple I wished I hadn't done, as the end product wasn't worth the $$ I committed to, and there have been one or two that didn't make it, meaning no money spent, but I've not yet backed a project that didn't deliver a product. | |

| I've backed a few and almost all of them have resulted in new music. I don't think, except for Guardian's first attempt, that any of my projects I've supported just fizzled. I have had a one Kickstarter album that I wish I had not backed just because it wasn't what I was expecting or wanting, and that would be Guardian. I've had great experience with Bloodgood, John Schlitt, Disciple, etc.
I just remembered that I did back Decyfer Down and that ended not being funded. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| I backed one that didn't make it (Absolon). The others I backed (Bloodgood, Steve Taylor, Tournuquet Ark) I was very happy with.
I also have backed bands through other funding drives. Grave Robber I pledged for their Christmas album. It went well, but I didn't like the album. Not their fault, since I don't like any of the GR albums. Lol . I still don't know why I pledged it, other than just trying to help. I also pledged to the second Absolon disc and that pledge drive failed, but instead of a refund I just sowed it as an investment into it when it does get made and I got the Firesphere cd from him.
I also pledged for the CrashDiet Save The Tour fund raiser. That was.good.
And I did the Pledge Music thing for Sweet and Lynch.
I also will pre order whenever an artist offers it. Joshua, Worldview, Stryper, Barren Cross, etc etc.
The only two times a pre order has failed for me was on the LNJ greatest hits 2 (the CD was never released, received digital instead) and The Brave's cd. |

| You didn't get the CD at all from The Brave, or you were just dissatisfied with it? _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

I got it, but sold it without opening it, along with the preorder mp3 download. I felt bamboozled because they hid the fact that the new singer was female. That is one of the biggest changes a band can do. go from male fronted to female fronted. |

| I've never been a big Novella fan. I saw them in concert in 1992. They're alright, but I'm not puttin' money in on them. | |

I'll go "like" their page RIGHT NOW! As someone who just started recording for the adventure and has built his own small fanbase, PB, why don't you drop that same encouragement on them on their page? It can't hurt!

| You guys have to remember.... It isn't about the money. He said that very clearly on his Facebook page. He is questioning whether for not there is enough demand for him to put the time and money into.
And with all due respect to Pastor Brad or you alldat, you can usually tell the difference between a studio produced CD and a home recorded CD.
A lot of bands still use studios instead of doing it themselves at home. |

| If he has music to share, then just do it. There won't be a demand for it if you don't do it. Do they expect the old fans to fall out of the woodwork to come get this since it has been 20 plus years since they've been gone? Hardly! They are going to have to work this just like they did when they were young. If they want it to happen again, then Novella will have to do it. When they quit after 2 albums, many of the fans moved on. Its what fans do.

| I saw Novella at a 2 day music festival called 'Jesus Jam' in Whitehouse, TN. The headliners were Seraiah & Bride the first night, and Novella & Whitecross the second night. Bride had to stop early, because of a bad storm. Dale & Troy came back the next day and did an acoustic set (which we shot a video of). The audio from our footage was used on their 'Live Vol. II CD. | |

| It really was. There was a couple of indie bands that caught my attention as well. One was 'Sold Out' (they became Ground Zero a few years later) and a band called 'Max Paradise'. They put on a great show. The best show of the weekend was Bride. Absolutely amazing. | |

Very cool!, sounds like it was a great show. What's sad is that I have never heard of such a festival in all of my days and I've been into Christian metal since 1990! I could easily have driven to Whitehouse, TN!

This has been my thought as well. I never really got into Novella for some reason. I think my tastes were going more toward thrash and extreme metal when they came out. Anyway, if you want an audience for your music, you have to go get it. You have to give people something to get excited about. Something they want to share with their friends. 20 years can be a lifetime in music, particularly singers, so I'd want to hear something before I even thought about buying it.
