CHM picture thread!

No we never stay in gasthaus.
We always rent a chalet.
That would be cool to join us on vacation.
We can show you a lot of the Alps.

That's fairly expensive isn't it? Are there others near it or a gasthaus? I would never intrude on a family's private time.

I plan to rent a chalet somewhere in Swiss Alps for our 25th but I've got another 12+ years to worry about that.

I've only got 6 more years until my 25th!!!


If a chalet in the Alps is like renting chalets in the American Smokey Mountains, then I think you could swing it, bro. It is going to cost more than a hotel, but it will be a lot more intimate. If you and the Mrs. Topshot are the only ones going, I would think that this would be a plus!

I would like it to get a chance to rent a chalet in the Smokey Mountains.
I still would love to see the Smokeys.

They aren't anywhere near as impressive as the Alps, but they have a different kind of beauty. The Rockies would be closer to the Alps.

Wow, some beautiful photos Yvonne, it looks like a great place to vacation.
Also looks very steep to climp around.

It depends from house to house.
This year the owner lived downstairs in an other part of the house. We have separted frontdoors.
The houses in Austria are very big and sometimes you can rent a part of the house and never see the owner.
You don't bother each other.
This house was more expensive than the house we rented last year.

Trouble is, we had it framed before I thought about taking a picture of it. The framers lock pictures in and I'd have to dissassemble the whole thing to get it out to scan it. I tried scanning it in the frame and that was worse than the digital pic.
Oh well, maybe on my next day off I'll wrestle with it.

The Narnia thing would be cool, but their theme is not just Lions, but Lions done in a specific art style.. consistent in all their albums. My Lion doesn't fit their style. But it is a cool idea !
I've only done artwork for secular SoCal bands and that was way back in the 80s. I'm too slow to be for hire

There are several of us here who like metal that are just average looking, non-descript white dudes. But, we can blend into most any crowd.

Now I wonder how "real" metalheads look like.
I won't post here a recent pic.
That gives you nightmares.

Well, I fall into the average white dood category as well. It is much easier to get along in the professional world without tatoos all over your neck 8 facial peircings and a 3-foot long beard.

Hey, that would be a really good idea of you don't have any candy to give the kiddies. Just put the Staybrite-O'-Lantern in front of your door, and they will all be too scared to get close enough to knock.
