| And not to nitpick but the last one should say "Happy Christmas" as opposed to "Merry Christmas" seeing as how Eddie is a Brit. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I hope to hit the studio tomorrow to record a new blues tune for a cigar box guitar Christmas compilation album. The song will, of course, feature my cigar box guitar. The song is an original tune based on the movie "The Christmas Story". What did I title the song? "You'll Shoot Your Eye Out!"
I hope it sounds as fantastic as I imagine it. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| Good luck today when you hit The Batcave today. It makes me curious to listen to the song when you use your cigar box guitar. | |

I hope it sounds as fantastic as I imagine it. Sounds interesting. Please don't do a song based on the movie "Christmas Shoes." Actually, the movie was based on the song. So, that market is kind of cornered. Actually, the song spurred off three made for tv movies. I could do one to kind of finish it up. We'll call it, "She's Dead Now--Can I Bring These Back For A Refund?" _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| I got all the guitars done on Saturday and scratch vocals (vocals used for a guide but not necessarily good enough to keep). I couldn't get the bass right, so I quit after a 5 1/2 recording session.
I went back into the studio yesterday afternoon between church services and got my bass lines down perfectly. I also got my lead vocals done. However, I do need to change one line in the song just to make it make more sense. I want to add drums to this but do not know if sabidoo will be available to record before my December 18 deadline for submission to the Cigar Box Nation annual Christmas compilation. So, I will be adding an electric stomp box for a bass drum sound and different rhythm shakers to achieve my percussion sounds for now. If he and I can't hook up, then we will go with the more folky percussion sound.
I am diggin' the tune, though. The guitars sound like a mix of early ZZ Top or Stevie Ray Vaughn. The bass is thumpin'. The vocals sound smooth as I am using my natural voice instead of trying so hard to sound "metal". The song almost has the feel of a Brian Setzer (Stray Cats/Brian Setzer Orchestra) song. Since he is a baritone crooner (think Bing Crosby) and so am I, I decided to go for it natural. It works! With the blues album, I am probably going to use as much of my natural voice as I can.
I still want to come up with a cool name for my blues project. I don't think it sounds like Mission Of One and don't want to use that name. I am thinking of calling it Darkest Night. I am also seriously thinking of calling the album "The Cigar Box Chronicles", but that could definitely change.
Any other suggestions for a cool blues band name? _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| alldat, To pick a blues name, you do three things:
choose a physical ailment choose a fruit or country name (like Billy, willie, johnny) choose a President
For instance - Blind Lemon Jefferson or - Fat Johnny Madison

| Great to see you are back in the Batcave. I like the name for your blues project. The name for the album is cool. A bit long, but I think it fits to this project. Good the bass line and the vocals are good now. Now, I hope sabidoo has the time to do the drums for you. He's good. | |
