Last view.  It lets you see the jack, volume  knob, and the two screened sound holes.  This sounds like a banjo with a metal pick.  It sounds like a small acoustic with your fingers or plastic pick.  Since it is electric, it sounds like a dirty blues guitar run through an amp.

Nice job! I didn't know sabidoo played guitar. I thought that, as a drummer, his IQ was too low to grasp anything else. Wink

He can play some guitar, too.  With this one, though, it is a 3 stringer that has an open G tuning.  Any basic chord can be played with one finger.  Most anyone could play this with little practice.

Just wait until you see what's coming.  I have put it off out of fear building a couple of new guitars so I can take BC&DBBB out and do shows as a one man band.  Those guitars are well under way.  You will most definitely appreciate one of them.  That is all I will say so as to not ruin it for you when you see them.

Here is my latest.  It is a three string acoustic.  The sound holes are covered with shower curtain rings.  The strap buttons and string tree were salvaged from a cheap First Act guitar I bought to strip for parts.  The neck and fretboard are made from red oak.  The fret markers are burned on.  If you look closely, the fret markers on the front of the neck are tiny bull's-eyes.

This is going to New York where my niece lives.  She will be giving it to her boyfriend.

Thanks!  I still have a fret that is muting out so I have to carefully file that one down.  I also want to try to sand off part of the bridge to lower the string action.

True, as it is my reputation that is out there on this.

I am also working on the two new guitars for my Big Chris live set someday.  One thing I have done to them is recycle some parts.  My dad played guitar and bass. That is where I got my love for music.  His old Gibson that he got while in the Air Force had warped and the neck was so twisted that you could never save this instrument.  Well, I removed the tuners and kept them.  I cleaned them and tightened them up a little.  Each one of my new guitars will be four stringed instruments, and each will have three tuners from my dad's old Gibson.  One new tuner will also be on each guitar.  I thought this could be a cool way to honor my dad even though he will never know.

I am getting very close on a couple of really cool builds.  I can't wait to show pictures and hopefully do some video of them.

Here is the first of two guitars I am building for myself.  They have both a guitar pickup and a single pole pickup that will allow the Gitty to sound like a bass when ran thru an octave pedal.  The artwork is the cover of my first blues album.

The tuners are from an old acoustic of my dad's.  He passed on his love of playing music to me.  Three went on this guitar and three are on a second one coming soon.  This was a good way to honor my dad.

Is that a quarter or silver dollar in the skull's head? Does it affect the sound?

That is a buffalo nickel in the box lid.  It shouldn't affect the pickup as the guy who designed these single pole pickups sends a buffalo nickel with every one you buy.

I sent the artwork to www.cbgitty.com.  They have some cool laser imprinting and cutting tools there.  I had them do my album artwork.  I have had these for two years and just kept ignoring them out of fear of messing up.  You only get one shot with these boxes, and they are $20 each to have them printed.  Also, I am fearful of playing as a one man band, but that is what this guitar is designed and built for.

While I don't have the intonation set on these, both of my new guitars are assembled.  They are ready to be set up and tested.  Sadly I have a couple of busy days and can't get to them right now.  I wanted to share them with you anyway.
