Dude, Alldat ! That looks SO amazing ! It trips me out how you can make an instrument out of practically anything ! Very cool talent indeed
You as an artist should realize that practically anything can be remade to become art whether you use in a sculpture, drawing or painting on it, etc. I just choose to put a neck and strings on it and make music from my works.
I have another build that is already sold that I am slowly working on. I hope to finish this one up next week so I can finish my 3 string banjo I started.

This one is going to Columbia, TN. It is both acoustic/electric. It has a rod piezo style pickup under the banjo bridge. It has a battery powered pre amp that is made into the cable jack that doubles as your strap nut. It sounds great. The strings are a little higher than what I prefer, but the guy that wanted me to build this wanted it for playing slide. This will be perfect.

Thanks!
I will be delivering this one today at 5 PM. The guy that ordered it is driving 1 1/2 hours to pick it up. I hope he is as thrilled with this as I am!

I uploaded by usual demo video to YouTube so I could share it here with anyone who isn't already a friend on Facebook. If you wonder how these babies sound, let's find out!

This one sounds just as good as the geocaching ammo-can build. Good job.

Ya'll didn't recognize the tune? That's a Mission Of One song called "Life's Just Bad" that is being reworked for the blues album.
I can't wait to finish this banjo I am working on.

Here's the newest one I finished today. I call it a "canjo" as it is made from a metal can (or tin in this case). It features a candy tin with a picture of the historic home of former President Andrew Jackson. This is the first in a series (hopefully) of Tennessee themed guitars. I call this canjo "The Hermitage".
This is both an acoustic and electric canjo. It has a piezo pickup inside. The neck and fretboard are solid red oak. It is an open G-D-G tuning as well and can be played either chording and noting or playing slide. The volume knob is half of a cork from Tennessee's own Bear Creek Winery. I cut the corks in half, drill a whole in them, and harden them with lacquer.

While most of you are on Facebook and have already heard it, I am uploading to YouTube my version of Kermit the Frog's "Rainbow Connection" so you can hear my canjo.

Today ended up being a productive day. I did a little tweaking on the canjo in the recent pics and video. Then, I got 6 new guitar necks started. That ought to keep me busy for a little while.

I recently did this video with my latest guitar build. The amp is a little 10 watt amp that has a 9 volt battery powering it. I can post pictures if I need to so you can see it better.
