Naa naa naa naa naa naa nnaa Batman! I think the difference with the old Bat man tv series is that it was over the top cheesy...and they knew it, and didn't care.
Yeah, total camp. That's one of the reasons I had a hard time with the Danny Burton movies that were so dark. I grew up with Adam West and the Super Friends defining Batman for me.

A few years ago I found Buck Rogers - The Complete Series on DVD for 10 bucks. Was glad to get it but i admit I have only watched a couple of episodes. It's not as cool as I once thought it was.....
A friend of mine (R.I.P.) had the Six Million Dollar Man DVD's and I asked him if I should get them. I loved the show growing up... He said "Nah, too expensive and not as cool as you remember it".
Yep, had that issue with both of those series and a few others as well (such as Mork & Mindy and Charlies Angels).
Well, if you've missed the Six Million Dollar Man, you can now wait for something brand new. Yes, folks! That's right! The tv show is now moving to the big screen with an updated title The Six BILLION Dollar Man starring Mark Wahlberg. Order now--operators are standing by!

Wonder if any of the originals will be involved? I remember many years ago there was talk of SMDM being a comedy starring Chris Rock. I don't know HOW true that was but it sounded absolutely rediculous. There was even supposed to be a scene with Lee Majors as the original bionic man where he was having.... uhh.. How do I put this? Erectile Dsyfunction and he needed a new bionic.... uh... part... yeah... Wasn't intertested in that at all.

It does look promising, but I could have done without those weird JJ Abrams camera angles of the Falcon flying. That's something he did in Star Trek that really just makes the watcher dizzy.

IN George Lucas tradition, Disney will have to release a special edition that "enhances" the special effects and add things into scenes that were not there originally. So, here's the trailer with the Lucas touch!

I think it'll be a solid release. Will it be as successful as the original trilogy. probably not. Will it be better than the pre-trilogy, no doubt

Oh gosh not more lense flares! I go back and look at that first Star Trek reboot and it looks like someone on the team had just discovered the "lense-flare" effect and seriously over used it.
