| I am 192 away from having 1,000 finds for this year. Can I do it with just 8 days left to spare? We shall see.....
I wonder how many I can get today. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| I hit a new power trail that had 46 easy caches on it and also did 18 others. We ended up with a total count of 64 yesterday. I only need 128 more to have 1000 finds for the year.
With the 64 we found yesterday, that was also with several rain delays. We'd cache for a while and then stop due to heavy rain. When it would slack off to a drizzle or stop, we'd hit it again. Around 3 PM, however, the rain came and did not stop so we were done for the day. Without the rain, we could have easily done 70 or more.
Now comes the tedious job of logging them all.

| If you work really hard, you can do those 75 in less than 4 hours. I now can do around 20 an hour if I have someone driving and me jumping out to grab the cache. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| I don't think we're supposed to see any snow next week. We don't get a lot of that here anymore.
Both Holly and I went out today to do part of a trail put together with the Tennessee Dept. Of Tourism called The Jack Trail. This is a special series that actually is spread out over 200 miles. You find caches and have to collect the code words inside. You need the code words to prove that you found the cache. Each cache is worth one point. If you buy something at one of the businesses that sponsored the trail, you get two points. If you stay at a bed & breakfast that has one of these Jack Trail caches there, you get 3 points. When you get 55 points, you mail in your scorecard (downloadable from the TN Dept. Of Tourism website) and you will receive a free geocoin.
We went out today with sabidoo and his wife and grabbed quite a few of these. I don't know how many for sure as I haven't logged them yet. Again, heavy rains kept us from doing as many as we would have liked. Regardless, it was a good time just to spend extra time with my brother and sister-in-law.

The milestone of 1500 finds is reached now.

| Congratulations!
I did not make my goal of 1000 finds for the year. I only managed to get 886.
We made a trip to Cincinnati this week and only managed to find three or four. Of course, it was a very fast trip and we did not have much time for caching. I think I managed to get 2 in Ohio and a couple more in Kentucky on the way back.

| We tried 2 today on the Jack Trail I told you all about. The first one was missing (it was the same one that was missing last week even though it had been replaced already). The 2nd one took 1 1/2 hours to hike in and hike back out due to the trail being so muddy and slick. Then, the rain came. We drove two hours and hiked for 1 1/2 hours for ONE lousy find. GRRRRR!!!!

That's what we have when we are searching for caches in the mountains or here in the woods. We often take the mountainbike for searching caches in the woods. Yep, that's really GRRRRRRRR!!!!

| Yesterday we have found 6 caches more.
One was one of the most creative finds we've ever found.
One plastic tube connected by a 5 meter long plastic tube under the ground is connected to a second plastic tube above the ground. In one of the two pipes need to blow, then come out the other plastic pipe above ground emerges the cache. Very original.

| My wife and I were out yesterday enjoying the near 60 degrees (F) day doing more of the Jack Trail Geo Tour that I have earlier mentioned. We were able to find 23 out of this series that we haven't already found. While that isn't a giant number, we did meet up with two other geocaching couples during the day who were doing the same series. We drove from Watertown to Murfreesboro, TN for breakfast. Then we went to Bell Buckle, Shelbyville, Manchester, Lynchburg, and ended in Tullahoma. All in all, this was around a 200 mile trip as these caches are spread out by some great distance.
I now have found 41 of the 62 in this series. You get a point for each found. The first 1000 cachers to collect 55 points will receive a free geocoin from the state of Tennessee Tourism Dept. If you find them all, then you qualify for a second coin for "perfect attendance". However, that only goes to the first 250 finders.

| You and your wife are doing a very good job to find all those caches. That must be a great reward to belong to the first 1000 cachers who get the geocion from the state Tennessee. | |

| Holly and I finished up the Jack Trail GeoTour on Saturday. We have been literally all over the middle Tennessee area from our home in Watertown and down to the edge of Alabama--TWICE. We've driven over 500 miles and never left our state. We've seen some amazing and not so amazing places and enjoyed some great times together. Now, I just have to fill out our paperwork and get it mailed so we can get our commemorative geocoins from the state tourism department.
Finishing this trail ended up giving me just over 5300 finds.
