Decided to look up samples for this song. Sounds a bit like something from early Black Sabbath (particularly guitar tone), but the song, particularly the drumming, is too fast to be from Master Of Reality.

The riff before the vocals start reminds me of Skid Row's Slave to the Grind even though Slave was released 10 years later.

Usually, when I hear a song, I tend to prefer the first version I hear, but in this case, I first heard the re-record and I think I like the original better.

Played this album during my quiet time this morning. The lyrics could be considered cheesy, but they don't sound cheesy. Good song in any case.

Who cares about the "cheese factor". That's the label that people use nowadays to mean "dated". Sure, folks don't much write metal lyrics like this anymore. However, you will hear many folks say that they wish that music felt the same as it did then. Maybe it was in the power of the lyrics as well as the music.
