Desyre & Barren Cross reviews at Angelic Warlord

In the past couple weeks I updated Angelic Warlord to include reviews of new albums from Desyre ("Glamtron") and Barren Cross ("Birth Pangs").  Following are the links:

Very cool, thanks for the update!

I don't see a reference to HB in the Release Dates.  Are they not putting their last CD out in English now?

There has not been an update from HB in a LONG time.  So I am not certain if the release is coming or going.  As a result, remove it from the list on a temporary basis under we receive confirmation.

The Nomad Son album The Darkening is a great release.  Untombed.com will have a review up for it soon as well.

That Desyre album is spending an inordinate amount of time in my speakers. I'm a sucker for good to great production, and while it is great for an independent release, it is still lacking against the better, more established bands. And yet, I don't care. The songs are so good, the performances (esp. the guitars) are so well done that I cannot help myself. I have found myself reaching for this one more than Stryper's new one, which shocks me. "Glamtron" is just awesome.

I would probably have ranked it higher if Mazi's vocals were not so far back in the mix.  It isn't as bad as on their first album, but it makes him even harder to understand.
