| Hello,
I just updated Angelic Warlord to include review of Retroactive re-issues of "Silence Is Madness" and "This Is It". Following are the links:
"Silence Is Madness" http://www.angelicwarlord.com/reviews/b/bride89.html
"This Is It" http://www.angelicwarlord.com/reviews/b/bride03.html
Last weekend I added reviews of "Show No Mercy" and "Live To Die".
Next weekend look for a review of the Ransom re-issue, followed by the new Static Fuse and Petra's "Back To The Rock". Stryper's "The Covering" is on the list- as soon as I am able to obtain it. Also got Jerusalem's "She" on the way along with MediSin Wheel.
Thanks,
Andy

Stryper is next in line after finishing the review of the Ransom re-issue. Not certain where to start with a review of "The Covering". Hopefully Medisin Wheel will be arriving in the mail shortly.

| Cliffy, I must say that I was VERY skeptical of the Bride reissues. I ended up getting a deal on all 4 that I just couldn't turn down. I must say that the best of the 4, to me, was the "This Is It" remaster. It makes the original sound like a demo. The bass and guitars never really had a great separation originally. The new version makes the guitars crisper, and the bass is now sharper and has it's own distinct place in the mix whereas before they were just muddied together.
On the others, the drums and bass are more improved as is the volumes. But, I can't say that they really sound better as I never really listen to the originals all that much. That's not an insult to your work--it's just me not having a great memory of the originals. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| For a long time I had my doubts to order the remastered version of "This Is It". Again a double CD that's what I thought. After reading some posts here and there about the remastered "This Is It" I decided to order the CD.
I agree with Chris, this CD has much more sound than the original CD. Cliffy, you were right that this remastered CD has a complete other sound. I only can't get into ordering the other 3 remastered CDs.

| I understand some of your feelings about whether or nor to pick up the band's first three albums. As both a person who was "there" when those albums originally came out and as the engineer responsible for these remasters, I can tell you that they are worth the money. They really do sound far superior to any previously released version. Also, the packaging is simply fantastic...it really is. The liner note stories written by Troy make for a cool read, too. We've all read the accounts of those days from Dale a hundred times over, but reading Troy's take on things is cool. As a serious fan of the band from those days, I can honestly say I am proud, utterly proud, to have been a part of getting these together.

| I will think about it and listen to some samples. As they have the same wonderful sound as "This Is It" I will order them. Cliffy, my compliments with the great job you did on "This Is It".

Thank you. Also, just wanted to point out that I have no real "dog in this fight"...how many these sell or do not sell doesn't benefit or hinder me in the least. I just think they're great and feel good about recommending them to other Bride fans.
