So there it is... about as boring as you can get. Robert seems to have no idea what to do with his drums.
Song rocks... but I gotta say, I'm listening to Mission of One's new album and it IS WAY BETTER than this rather bland Stryper song. Wow ! I ain't trashing this Stryper song, but I guess I was expecting a lot more.... when you hype something, sometimes it lets you down. That's NOT the case with MO1 ! Hostile to the Gospel ROCKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You like how I did that eh ?
I know, and what's funny is just the other day I was saying how messed up it is to trash on something someone else likes... I'm such a hypocrite
NMHTP song is good, I definitely like it, I'm just not wowed by it - something I should expect to be since these guys have so many years and experience behind them. I'm hoping the rest of their album gives me more of what I was hoping for.

I think the song is very cool. But I do think the video is pretty boring....but then I think nearly all videos are boring. I want to know who's job it was to make sure Robert brought his complete drum kit to the video shoot, they need to fire that guy.

The lyrics are great:
I am taking it a day at a time and I don't care what the doubting voices say I am lifting up the Name that will shine and the light of heaven's brighter everyday
[PRE-CHORUS 1] Oh, I know that it's rough though I know there is pain Even so when it's tough I will not be ashamed!
[CHORUS 1] If the darkness reveals the end of days I'll follow You till there's no more hell to pay! You have given me a gift I won't deny and You're offering a better world to come The sorrow of tomorrows left so far behind with the joy of what this life will soon become
[PRE-CHORUS 2] If I'm deep in the storm, if I'm caught in the rain From the time I was born it's You that always remained!
[CHORUS 2] If the sun has fallen from the sky and the stars that shine begin to hide When the night has stolen everyday I'll follow You till there's no more hell to pay!
[CHORUS 2] If the sun has fallen from the sky and the stars that shine begin to hide When the night has stolen everyday I'll follow You till there's no more hell to pay!

It's only a video. What counts is the song.

Stryper themselves had been promoting the video heavily....
When you produce a music video, the video will come into scrutiny. Otherwise you could just listen to the mp3 or cd.
People are just a little disappointed that after all the talk leading up to it, that this is all there is.

A DVD looks just like a CD but instead of music, it contains moving pictures with sound. You will need a special contraption called a "dvd player" to view one.

Bought4life, After watching the new Stryper video I can imagine people are disappointed about this video. For me the music is much more important than the video.

Per their FB: "Unfortunately, it was over 100 degrees in the desert that day and the guys shot another video prior to this one and could not break down the kit and set it back up before sun went down. As much as the band would have liked to have had Robert hitting the drums for this video, it was physically impossible and the director needed to make that call"

Now that I've actually watched the video... wow... the director should be fired. LOL Pretty lame by today's standards. The song is OK though.

I actually liked the video. Yeah, Robert was just kinda doing what he could but he's a drummer, he'll get over it

I guess filming another day was out of the question..it must cost a fortune for those fancy effects and to rent out the desert for an hour...what a pity if you had to do it twice

Yep, pretty much what I was thinking. I could have done something similar with my digital camera and free movie making software. I have done a cheesy music video before, but it's on Super 8. Would love to transfer it someday.
I also don't get why you'd do a second desert video that we'll apparently see at some point.

I get the deal with Robert but why not incorporate it with the other guys? Maybe star with just Michael playing and the others standing around then add them as the video goes on.
