It definitely has that power metal vibe that you tend to dislike, BUT I think you might like it anyway. The vocals are not really "high-pitched" and are very well done. There isn't a lot of double bass drumming (maybe none). The guitar solos are really good, most of the songs have decent hooks. The longest song is just under 6 & a half minutes (with most songs around the 5 minute mark).
