| So while surfing the pages of Myspace I came across 2 bands with connections to Christian Metal/hard rock. The first band is called Smalltown and consist of 2 members from the Brave, Stayce Roberts and Freddie Tierra. Now I warn you this is bit of a country/rock flavor type band and I would compare it to Bon Jovi's "Lost Highway" cd. I know that Stayce's brother Randy (l/v on the album Trust) co-wrote some of the tunes. Here is the link: http://www.myspace.com/smalltowntunes The other band features vocalist Larry Worley formerly of Fear Not/LoveLife. This is more of your standard commercial rock band with a touch of Dishwalla/Lighter Kutless and a dash of Nickleback. What's odd is on the page he is listed as a b/g vocalist and guitar player but yet on the 3 tracks it sure sounds like him on l/v. | Fear Not and Love Life were excellent albums, especially the vocals so I'll have to have a listen to that myspace site to see what it sounds like (no sound card on this computer!!!). Is it a christian band though? Fundy _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... Silence Is Madness

| The Worley stuff, while he is a Christian, will be aimed at the general market. It does have that Nickelback/Kutless sound. The music's decent, but without the gospel message, I'm not interested. Smalltown is also aimed at the general market. So, it's just your run of the mill pop infused country that kids in these parts love. I found it to be rather boring. Bring back The Brave!!! _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| The first band I ddidn't like so much. No I am not a country fan.
The second band sounds much better. Not the hard stuff, but it sounds cool. | |
