| Well my store doesn't allow vacations during Nov. and Dec. because of the rate of sales being so high. Actually I think it is that way with all of the Walmarts in the area.
So while my folks are in MN. visiting my younger bro. at Thanksgiving I am stuck here. Then again it isn't all bad. I requested the weekend after Thanksgiving off so I will be partying watching the Iron Bowl. They will be watching it at my bro's up north.
Aside from all that...work,work,work.

| Thanksgiving will be filled with eating and sleeping.
Christmas will be no more than an afterthought. Since Christmas Eve and Day fall on Sat. and Sun., I will have those 2 days off without pay, because they are my regular days off. Then, BACK TO WORK!!!!!

| Thanksgiving will be with my wife's family this year as we try to alternate between either mine or her family each year. With me working for a school system, I'll get almost a full week off.
At Christmas, life will be very hectic indeed. I'm sure my ultra-traditional church will DEMAND that we have services and then very few people show up. We usually spend a few hours with both mine and my wife's families that day and then open gifts at home by ourselves afterwards. School will be shut down for a full 2 weeks then, so I'll have most of that time free. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| Our holidays may be different this year. Every year for 15 years my wife and I have done Thanksgiving dinner with family, friends and Marines from our local Marine Base who are too far from their own families. Then Christmas we spend at my oldest brother's who lives near our parents. Just immediate family get together and feast. This year, my daughter and son-in-law cannot make it to Thanksgiving for 2 reasons. 1. They cannot miss anymore college days (since they just missed 2 weeks for their wedding/honeymoon) and 2. They're taking 2 days for my neices wedding on Nov. 11th, so they can't make it to Thanksgiving (1st time ever.) SO! This year, we're thinking of flying out to spend it with them and feed their buddies in college who can't make it to their own families either. Then we'll do Christmas at our house this year... Gonna really shake up the traditional family, but hey, it should be fun ! | |
