| Yes, I know the site is still there. But, what I am talking about is when I used to go in there and surf around for what seemed like hours and make list after list of CDs I'd like to have. Nowadays I go and see almost nothing I'd even want to click on to hear. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| Before the company was sold to a firm in Nashville, it worked a lot better. Shipping times were much faster, too. I used to be able to order and have it in hand in 2 days. Now, it takes over a week.

| When CD Baby had the old owner it was much better. Your orders were shipping most faster than now. It was cooler to find music you really like. The sell of CD Baby was not good for us ... users. | |

| The founder of CDBaby has written a book about how he did it. If you buy the book, in any format, there is a link where you can download his favorite 240 songs for free. I got the Kindle e-book version of the book the other day, but haven't had a chance to read it yet. I downloaded the songs, but haven't gotten to listen to them. There is no "Christian" category, but numerous others. The name of the book is, "Anything You Want". | |

It takes a week from Nashville? How far are you from there?

| Sadly, the company that owns CD Baby is located in Nashville. If you lace an order, it is routed through their offices and forwarded to the state of Washington. Your merch is then shipped from the warehouse in Washington. By the time this all filters through, it can be up to 10 days now.

It has been a couple of years since Derek Silvers sold the company. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

See, I don't understand this. Are they still using Pony Express to get the orders up there or is it not computerized? Because I sent an email to my former pastor who was in Israel at the time and she responded within minutes. I know it takes time to get things cross country (you are in TN, right alldat?) but not that much longer. I only ordered there once, it was the only place I could get Rondellus' Sabbatum (it is an Estonian medieval/Renaissance ensemble who did period recreations of Black Sabbath tunes--cool stuff if you are into that sort of thing), and the service was excellent. But that was probablly 5 or so years ago.

| At that time, CD Baby would have still had all their operations in Washington. The service was awesome back then. I bought a lot of stuff from them. After the sale, it seems like the orders just sit in limbo for days.

| For me, it's never really mattered, because I never get them shipped to my home. I get them shipped to family in the U.S. because it's a ton less expensive. | |

Actually I think they were in Portland, Oregon.....just about as close as you can get to Washington and not "technically" be there. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Yeah, I believe it was Portland as opposed to Washington as well.
But the reason I do not order as often from CD Baby is not due to extra shipping times but rather an inability to find what I am interested in. It used to be that you could type "Christian rock" or "Christian metal" into the search engine and be almost overwhelmed with the number of selections brought up. So I guess you could say it is the search function that has taken a step back with the new ownership.
BTW, has anybody contacted CD Baby about this and made them aware of the problem and our concerns?
