So, there I was going to CD baby every couple of weeks clicking on "spiritual" and then "heavy metal" and going through the list of about 20 - 40 albums, thinking "hmm, got that" or "no, don't want that". Then leaving and waiting to see if anything new comes out.

This time I click on "Christian" and then "hard rock" or "metal/punk" and it comes up with LOADS I've never heard of, but sound great.

affraid

This could be open your wallet time!

I'll let you know what one(s) I go for!

Well from what I've found the best one seems to be 7th Reign, which has a sound that I LOVE! So I've ordered that one. I ordered Orphan Project because I liked the opening track and it's cheap too (although it is just an ep) Trisonic is good solid hard rock and I do like the vocalist.

1 of 7TH REIGN: 7th Reign ($12.97 each)
1 of ORPHAN PROJECT: Orphan Project II ($7.99 each)
1 of TRISONIC: So Much More ($10.97 each)

I think I was getting itchy feet waiting for X Sinner, so whilst that is still being put through the final stages of production, I thought the above 3 would see me through!

I remeber seeing that 7th reign disc before, and for some reason it didn't seem to grab me. Maybe I need to listen to it again.

Ooooo I know Alldat will be all over that Orphan Project disc, cuz it's a 4 song EP.

The Trisonic isn't bad, but I am slowing down on new CDs throughout the rest of the year. Starting next week, I'm going to be out of work at least one week per month. The first of the year, it could go to two weeks working and two weeks off. So, anything I get the rest of the year really needs to be something I want badly.

I did do one thing to help insure getting all the discs on my want list, though. I asked my wife to preorder the new Building 429 and Disciple discs for my birthday. The discs won't come out for a couple of days after, but that's okay. Just knowing they are on the way is cool with me.

Man what I would do for that. Unless it's unpaid. And even then I'd be really tempted as I'm not very materialistic. You really can't put a price on time off to do what you want to with the wife, kids etc. cheers Unfortunantely I'm a union employee with lot's of seniority. Young guys get time off and claim unemployment and I have to keep working. scratch

I am also a union employee, but this is a plant-wide shut down. Seniority doesn't mean jack when everyone is off.

We've had plenty of time off this year--unpaid. This month's shut down will be my waiting period for unemployment benefits. The November shut down I will get to draw, and then the company will comp me the difference between unemployment and 80% of my regular earnings. Time off from work with 80% pay won't be bad--I'll just have to budget better. I might even start working on some new material myself.

Is it okay to ask some questions?
What does "seniority" means.?
Have all plants a monthly shut down, or only the plant where you work?

What I hope is that the compalled weeks off will disappear and the plant get's more orders.

Seniority just means how long you've been with a company. My employer, CSX railroad, starts your seniority the day you're hired. When and if a downturn in the economy happens or something the guys last hired are the guys first furloughed (layed off). There are no shutdowns at the railroad as it would cripple the economy. Maybe Chris can add more.
