Good antispam programs.

Used Lavasoft for many years and it was a good problem.
When I bought a version last year the problems started.
It seems they have added an antivirus program to Lavasoft and that one is giving problems with the antivirus program I use.
Maybe when you use a free Lavasoft program you don't have this problems.

Do you know a good free antispam program?

In general you cannot have two anti-virus programs running at the same time - they compete with one another and slow your PC way down. Either uninstall the one you had already or the one that came with the new Lavasoft suite.

Your subject asks for anti-spam yet your question in the post body is asking for anti-virus. Which are you wanting recommendations for?

I use CCleaner, Spybot, and Adaware. You only need one antivirus program, but having 2 or 3 spyware programs is good. All of the ones I have listed are absolutely free.

That's what I needed, some names of good anti spam programs.
I had a very good one for free, but since some time you have to pay for this one.

You are using Adaware and you don't have problems with your antivirus program and the antivirus Adaware is using?

Yes, I only use one antivirus program.

I use Adaware for spam stuff........and some other program for antivirus (I forget what its called but it also begins with an "A" and I believe it was free too).

Could it be Avast?

It's either that or AVG. Both have free versions that are good. I use Avast. However, both are anti-virus so don't do anything for the spam/spyware unless a virus is associated with it.

Lavasoft is not and has never been an antispam program, so don't know where your coming from there.

All other suggestions are not antispam either, they are spyware and virus which is something completely diffrent from spam.

I don't like lavasoft anymore since they went totally commercial.

Later I have had problems with my computer and contacted Lavasoft.
A person from Lavasoft has told me in the bought Lavasoft version I used was an antivirus program running too.
With the antivirus program we use on our couputer it was causing problems.

Topshot was right.....it's AVG (free version)...seems to work great.
