| Yep, there we go again. I have a war with the WMP to rip CDs to load on my iTunes. I ripped the both Messiah CDs I have. Couldn't find the CDs in my folder because WMP told me it's an unknown band. I renamed all the tracks and still WMP telss me it's an unknow CD.
Are there other programs you can rip CDs with? Programs who do what I want?
Do you have the same experiences as I have with WMP?

| You should be able to rip CDs by using Itunes. | |

| You will have this same problem (probably) with Windows Media Player also. When an album from an independent label is new like that it takes a while to "get into the system". I usually just go into the file manager and change all the file names there (and also on my player). But it you don't know exactly what you are doing in your file manager I wouldn't recommend doing that as you could really mess stuff up. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... | I'm able to rip CDs, but the problem is those CDs are listed as unknown albums in the folder I want to have them.

I have used this program since 2006, and it has worked wonders for me. When you rip a CD, if it shows up as unknown, you can still rip it, and then edit the details once that's done. TONS better than WMP.

My problems I've had with the unknown CDs is solved. I know now how what to do when you ripped CDs are listed as unknown. See I learned a bit more.

| Glad you fixed your problem, Vonnie!
As for ripping programs, Topshot suggested a few years back the program Audio Grabber. I've been using it ever since. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

That's interesting. I know it can rip, but don't believe I ever used it to do that. That's what I used to record my shows. I use Exact Audio Copy for ripping but it's not for the faint of heart. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

| LOTS of settings you can adjust to get the best results and control the output. The problem is it hasn't been updated since I've been using it (over a decade) so newer drives you may need to tweak manually. Technically, it's still a beta release, too! _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

| I use WMP all the time. If it shows up as unknown, then I just edit the tracks manually. Takes about 60 seconds usually. I keep my library in .wma file format anyway, so I like WMP. | |
